I use these to sit on top of a CalDigit TS3, which can get quite hot during SD card operations. This unit pulls the heat away very nicely. Fan speed is controllable via a corded switch. I am not worried about noise/quiet so much as I only use when necessary. I would have gone for the 80mm fans If I would have sensed how small these are. (I estimate these to be half the size of a deck of cards). BUT these are quite effective for their small size. Not the most aesthetically pleasing from a "clean desktop" perspective with the cords and such, but tolerable for my setup.

As for the size, it fits my laptop perfectly, and the pads keep it from sliding around which was a concern at first, but it's definitely not going anywhere! The fans themselves run off of a USB cable, with a slider switch from off>low>medium>high and barely make any noise at all. In fact, my own laptop's fans are louder. These things are BEEFY by the way, i use a pretty low-quality, unmaintained ROG Asus gaming laptop with a 1060 that usually heats to 91C. This thing bumps it down, at 70%-90% load, straight to between 68C and 87C. That's a pretty big improvement, if you ask me. Also the plug being USB is pretty useful. I put it under my laptop but honestly this thing looks pretty versatile, you could probably use it for other stuff too if you want. Very good cooling fans, would definitely recommend if your laptop overheats and slows down.

I bought the 80mm version to add extra cooling to COB lights like my Godox units, and they’ve been great for that. I zip-tie the fans right to the body of the light and it noticeably improves airflow, especially during longer sessions when heat usually builds up. It’s quiet enough that I don’t notice it running, even on the higher setting, and the USB power makes it easy to plug into whatever power source I already have nearby. Build quality feels fine for the price and I’ve had zero issues so far. Simple product, does exactly what I needed it to do, no complaints at all.

Great for adding active cooling to modems and routers (exhaust upwards to draw air through the device to assist passive cooling). My modem and router got uncomfortably warm. I never experienced any performance issues, but the modem would regularly sit at 120F. This brings it down to 95F. This is a nice cost-effective option, but the motor is more audible than I'd prefer at the lowest setting. A different brand was a little quieter, but I think I'll just DIY my own using Noctua fans for a quieter rig.

I only just took this out of the packaging and put it directly into use as cooling fans for our home router. I read all the reviews about these being noisy, and perhaps there were some that fit that description. However, the ones I got were super quiet! Seems to be a great value for the money. It moves heat away from my router and the fit was perfect. The three position speed switch works fine and I run the fan on high constantly. I'll update if the durability isn't good. I expect at least a year or more of service.

These are fantastic fans for what I used them for! My Xbox was overheating. I added more thermal paste to the processor which didn’t help. My case wasn’t too dusty and my fan seemed to spin like it should. I was out of options until I bought these fans. I mounted them to my Xbox to help push out the hot air and my Xbox hasn’t overheated since.

Edit update: I revisited using this dual 40mm fan that actually comes with a small heatsink! It’s still too noisy, but it’s a strange high pitch noise I’m guessing from the way the air flows thru. However, after taking the kit apart, I was able to relocate the grills and place one under an ATV4K box and one on top, with the little heatsink placed on top of the ATV4K and under the second fan blowing air onto the heatsink. Crazy enough, the heatsink almost immediately pulled heat from the ATV4K box but with one 40mm fan on bottom (with the rubber bushings down, the heatsink on topside and the 2nd fan on top of the heatsink blowing air down onto the heatsink, it worked extremely well!!! The ATV4K went from temps of 110-115 degrees down to 93-95 degrees (or less!)!!! And that’s with the dual fan on low!! So if you have a small electronic device that has no built in cooling, I highly recommend getting something like these to help cool it down. Unfortunately, the dual 40mm Eluteng fans are still too noisy, especially on med/high, but if you locate the device you want to cool behind a big tv or entertainment center, the noise should be low enough to take advantage of the cooling effect. Raised to 3 stars from 2 Way too loud!! Doesn’t blow enough air for the noise it makes. I shoulda returned these but they were so cheap I just threw them in a drawer for now. I purchased 3 different brands of 40mm usb fans to mount on the back of my 77Z8BA OLED tv to act as exhaust fans and these were the worst of the 3. Ac infinity 40mm had the best cfm but the scccf 40mm was the least noisy, at least at low rpm. All of these 40mm fans on high are impossibly loud/noisy.

Works well. Really quiet....so quiet, I've actually left them on overnight (mistakenly), because even though I turned off any / all noise makers in the room (ie: computer, tv, etc.), I didn't even really notice the barely noticeable "hum" of the fans (they're that quiet). Turns my warm (almost hot) External HDD's almost room temperature (when I touch the running HDD, I can't tell from the temperature of the casing that it's running...only from the movement of the platter / arm). Like the fact that it has "Feet", on the corners, on both sides, so that you can not only elevate the HDD off the desk allowing more HDD case surface area for heat dissipation, you can either BLOW air onto the HDD, or SUCK air away from the HDD (depending on your needs)...just turn the unit over, depending on which way you need the fans to go.

they work like a charm, and are nicely designed. the rubber feet will not harm your equipment, and the fans can be placed pushing or pulling air because they designed rubber feet on both sides of the fan. most equipment (game consoles, home theatre receivers, etc.) have a USB port available, just plug it there for power, and the fans will turn on or off with the equipment. I set mine on low speed, one can barely hear a whisper. am planning to buy another set. highly recommended!

Use this to cool down my AVR and is work as advertised. There are 3 speeds settings and so far I use the lowest speed and it is still able to keep my AVR cool down after hours of use. Would recommend it to others.

Keeps gmtec mini from overheating

Fan quality is very good. No unwanted(bad) noise, hence quality bearings. Not five stars because box was opened before, and the 2 extra screws were missing. (This is difference between this brand and more expensive brand AC Infinity I guess). There was minor scratch on the switch/controller which further proves that it was opened. Back to good things, wires are glued with fan so it wouldn't stress solder joints. Protection is also good, metal net. Uses 1.2W, 1.9W and 2.6W at low, medium and high speeds respectively.

Oh it's bigger then I expected wow it brought my drive disk temp down by 10° c so u can't complain just just on default speed. I can't complain Makes no sound no vibrations and a constant speed I am using its own USB dock and not a laptop or control bored USB. I haven't tested it's threw a ps4 port ps5 ECT..
