Great size, shape and colour

This is essentially an oblong box with a lid. I t looks good with a hint of retro styling. I have other items that match, but I think it’s a nice thing on its own. It’s large enough to take a couple of loaves or packets of buns, bagels and the rest of it. Those things are quite quickly consumed in our house so I cannot comment whether the bread bin really keeps things fresh. Probably better than loose on the work-top. Crumbs do gather in the corners and where the sides meet the bottom but they wipe out easily and are easy to spot against the cream colour. It’s not particularly sturdy in the sense I don’t think it would stand much bashing about or dropping. However, it’s perfectly adequately sturdy for normal use as a bread in. I’m giving four stars, not five, as it’s hard to score five stars for a humble bread bin.
