Will this work on my crayfish ?

Unfortunately, there is no current data on the use of Aqua-Sed in Crayfish.

Is this a suitable purchase for saltwater fish / marine fish or is it purely for freshwater?

The Vetark Aqua-Sed can used for anaesthesia or euthanasia in all fish.

What is the shelf life of this product?

I'm afraid I don't know. Just had a look at the bottle and it says store in a cool, dry place and use by expiry date on the base, which I couldn't see at all. I've certainly had mine for over 6 months and it still works fine. The only proviso with it is that if used as a euthanasia, increase the dose very slowly from sedative to overdose otherwise the fish don't react well and you don't get the peaceful end you were looking for.

Would this work on African dwarf frogs? I had to euthanise one recently using benzocaine and freezing her but it still felt bad.

Yes, you can use Aqua-Sed to sedate amphibians at the same dosage as stated for fish, however great care should be taken and under veterinary supervision as the process will take effect much quicker due to the product being absorbed through the skin.
