highly recommended
As a proud owner of an e-bike, I can't recommend the Dual Locks enough. With these locks, I feel confident locking up my bike in any area or structure. I also purchased a pair of 4' - 16 gauge anti-theft cables to secure my battery pack, front and rear tires, as well as my family's e-bike. We even left our bikes for more than five hours near a rail system and they were still there intact, despite someone attempting to break the lock. The peace of mind these locks give me is priceless.I recently purchased a folding lockset and it's been a game-changer for me. It's a hybrid style of lock that combines the best of both U-lock and cable lock worlds without their respective drawbacks. The six roughly 6-inch sections fold up into a solid rectangular block, making it easy to store and carry. While it's not the lightest lock in the world, it's still a solid and heavy-duty lock that's harder to cut than a cable lock. The hinges that connect the sections are well-built, making it difficult for any tool to get in between the two sections to get leverage. The set comes with three locks that are common-keyed, which is invaluable when traveling as a family. The keys turn easily and smoothly in the tumblers without catching. The included cases are easy to mount on the bike frames, or they can be easily stored in a backpack as they take up very little space and don't add much weight. While the folding and unfolding motion is not as smooth as other similar folding locksets, it's by no means a deal-breaker. Overall, this lockset is compact, lightweight, and functional. This set provides several options for securing your bike. The U-lock is strong and latches easily, while the included cable can be used with the U-lock for added security. The flat locks offer even more flexibility in how you lock up your bike. Alternatively, you can use the three locks across three different bikes.Lastly, the customer service is worth mentioning. My locks arrived missing the bike mount for the U-lock, but the seller sent a replacement within a day. Their prompt and efficient customer service is truly appreciated. If you're looking for a set of bike locks that offer flexibility, security, and convenience, look no further than the Dual Locks folding lockset.

Very handy for multiple bikes
I used these on 2 bikes, 1 of them ended up having a missing pin that held the pivoting latch in place, when I had myother ebike stolen, I ended up repairing the broken 3rd lock with a screw than cutting off the access flesh with the housing. It really helps having 1 key for 3 locks.

Nice Lock set. (Opps Update)
Got these for my e bikes. They all have the same key so I only have to carry 1 key. I use them on my Wallke E bike ( 2 locks, 1 key) and I have another e bike that I use the other lock & key. They work great. I secured them to my bike and they look really good. They are very strong and very secure. They are easy to access and easily collapsible and expandable when needed.Update: This week I had the same issue that I had seen posted by others. While riding my e-bike I took out my lock and the cylinder came off. The lock was in 3 pieces. I was unable to lock up my e-bike. So out of the 3 locks I bought , only 2 are usable. I'm past my return date.

Fell apart upon first unlock.
Two of these immediately fell apart on first unlock. Literally the FIRST TIME we used them. Fantastic idea, abhorrent execution. Getting a refund.

A Solid Deterrent
The media could not be loaded. I got the 3-pack of Folding Locks, which comes with six identical keys. These locks are a little more expensive, but I’ve had my fill of cheap-and-ineffective locks over the years. The hardened steel links of these locks are thicker and stronger than a basic cable lock and even many U-locks, and the rectangular cross section of the links makes them very difficult to break with bolt cutters. The use of multiple joints also makes it very difficult to get leverage with a pry bar (similar to chain links in that regard). Each lock weighs just under 2 lbs and comes with its own flexible carrying case. This is a nice improvement over the more traditional rigid-plastic brackets that crack/fall off soon after installation. When not in use, the links on each lock fold close together into a compact block that stows out of the way; the carrying case for each lock can attach with the included Velcro straps or it can be screwed directly onto the frame in place of a water bottle cage (this is how I mounted the case to my mountain bike – see video). While no lock provides 100% security against theft, these solidly-made locks should provide a serious deterrent to most thieves. Given that there are 3 locks in the set, it is of course possible to use multiple locks at once for additional security.

Heavy-Duty and Convenient
This is a very well-made lock and having a set of 3 that are common-keyed is invaluable when you're travelling as a family. The keys all turn in the tumblers easily and without catching. The included cases are easy to mount to bike frames using any one of several methods; but for the most part we simply throw them in a backpack when not in use and they take up very little space in side pocket and they don't add much weight either. But good to know we DO have the option to mount on the bikes if we so choose. The only complaint I have is that the folding/unfolding motion is not as smooth as other similar folding locksets I own. Probably wouldn't be a big deal if I had nothing to compare to; but knowing what "good" looks like, these are kinda lacking in that area. They tend to bind. By no means a deal-breaker, and certainly there are more positives than negatives with these; but supplier, if you're reading this and if looking to improve, this is one area to focus on. That notwithstanding, very heavy-duty, compact, lightweight, and functional.

Ok ok they are good except they ate stiff as hell
The joints on these lockers are stiff as hell very hard to open and use all of them are that way otherwise they would be great. I don’t know if they will loosen over time but they are so tight it’s really hard to use

Seller addressed issue with one lock.
We like the design of the 3 locks with the same key. Unfortunately one lock (out of the 3) literally fell apart after the 2nd use. I tried getting support using the 'Get Product Support' option and had no luck; however, when I used the 'Send Seller Feedback' option, the company was very good at addressing my issue by sending me a replacement lock.

Disappointing quality
Really disappointed that these didn’t work out. I loved the idea of three locks keyed the same. One lock broke the first time I unlocked it, the other two are fine but I question the quality.

These are fairly solid locks but I see some weaknesses...
First off, I am new to this design and brand of lock. I ordered them for a recently acquired e-scooter. They looked really rugged and solid. When they arrived, I was left with that same impression but as is typical with me, I tried looking at ways to damage or break it. As rugged as it feels and looks, the guage of the steel, when taken as a single strand or bar of the lock, it is a lot more flexible and pliable than it feels in it's folded configuration. What caught my attention most though, are the riveted hinge points. Again, when folded, they feel solid but when they are expanded, those joints have a fair amount of play. They seem weaker, they seem vulnerable to prying. I am not sure that they would be easily broken but it does seem like a potential issue. I find the rubberized skin, is a nice feature for surface protection.Unlike locks that we have had for motorcycles, scooters and mountain bikes around the house, these Via Velo seem to lack any form of certification. I find that odd for both the price as well as how these locks are being marketed as a higher end form of security.I love the single key design philosophy and the set of 3 is awesome for multiple bike teethering. Although less convenient, I also like the idea that you must manually turn the key to lock these devices, rather than just a spring loaded latching mechanism, I have had springs break on me in the past and then the lock is of no use until fixed, which is not always easy or cost effective to accomplish.Traditionally, I use "U-locks" but I see a place for these bar locks, as an additional line of security. I have looked at other Via Velo products and they certainly have my attention. We will see how these work out, over time but I feel like there are just a couple of minor tweaks that could be applied.I would certainly suggest that someone take a look at this lock system as a potential solution for certain needs. I will certainly continue to use them.

Very robust and heavy locks that are compact to carry
This lock set came with 3 individual locks, 3 holders, 6 keys and 6 key tags. Each key opens all three locks, it is a keyed alike system. The majority of the lock is constructed of metal with the exception of the housing that the key and locking link go into. I am sure the innards and lock system are all metal but the exterior housing is plastic. Given this construction the locks are heavy. Alone each lock is 1lb 11oz and with the holder increases slightly to 1lb 15oz. The overall size of the link loop when closed is a bit on the small side but enough to get through one wheel, the frame and around whatever immovable object you are locking it to. To get through both wheel you may need to daisy chain 2 or 3 locks. The action and motion of the locks is very smooth, and they feel very sturdy. There is no play in any of the joints or pivots. The holders are made of a rubber material but do have a metal spine in them if you should choose to mount it to your bike’s water bottle mounts. The base has holes that will align to these standard locations. However, you must provide your own bolts, which are likely already in your frame. Alternatively, the holder has two heavy duty Velcro straps to wrap around and hold onto your frame. The back side of the base has a rubber curved pattern to grip and keep the holder from moving. In both cases the mounting of the holder is very secure.Locking and unlocking are pretty straight forward. However, ou cannot have the lock engaged and push in the locking link. You have to unlock, insert the link then manually lock. Would have been nice if there was a spring retention so that you could just push the lock in and really only use the key to unlock.Overall these are a very nicely made set of locks and they are very compact to carry around. However, they are a bit pricey at close to $100 per lock and really do not offer much over traditional U locks that are half or a third of the price, the only exception being that they packing down smaller and are very slick.

Great addition to a traditional locking system
Please note, I am a very cynical cyclist. I've had cheap bikes, expensive bikes, e-bikes, all stolen at one point. 5 in total. It's not me, its the whole downtown area of Toronto, I've always used at least a two lock system, but its never been successful. Legit there are criminal rings out there carrying mobile metal grinders and portable batteries, my building has security tape sent to police for investigation - unplated trucks tailgating into condo buildings and stealing 20+ bikes at the same time in less than 10 minutes. I will never trust a single lock, regardless of type. My thoughts are basically, make it not worth the thiefs time, make your bike a lower priority, in the 2-3 minutes to break multiple locks , they will skip and will break into 3-5 other bikes instead. This slim steel folding lock set is very slim and fits on the frame easily, and packs tightly in a backpack. As a lock, it's a dream come true, solid metal and reinforced hardened steal and easy to use, yet easy to pack. But of course, it comes with flaws, and can be easily defeated with larger tools. For short trips in a busy area for a few minutes, its good in my opinion, even using two of them. But as-is, its still very weak on its own, blunt force trauma may destroy it, especially if the bike thieves know what they are doing with power tools and a strategy. The one key system is a fantastic feature, but may also provide the same weakness if a theif knows what to look for. Not only that, the type and design of the key is much more complicated and hopefully, will be decently pick proof for amateurs.OVERALL, the kit is useful for any cyclist and when in use (combined), it offers deterrance against theives. No locks are inpenetrable, and they all are breakable, but it is balancing the time to risk/reward for these thieves. The more deterrance, the more they will pass and look for an easier target. I also recommend parking your bike close to more expensive bikes lol. It sucks, but this is the way to keep your bikes for a long time.
