Totally portable minimalist dock
More of an attachment that adds some extra functionality to your Steam Deck than most of the docks, which are designed to sit on a desk somewhere. Basically, you can attach this to your Steam Deck and have a built in kickstand plus a few extra ports. I've wanted a kickstand without having to put a whole protective case around my Steam Deck, so this fits the bill. All the connectors worked well for me. The kickstand is solid enough to hold the weight, and everything seems well-constructed.Just a few things to note:- USB-C cable at the top has a little slack between the dock and the Steam Deck, so part of it sort of dangles. It could have been engineered to be a tighter fit perhaps. Not a huge deal, but noticeable.- USB ports are only 2.0, not 3.0, so might not be ideal for some high-speed use cases. It's generally fine for a keyboard or mouse.- There is no ethernet port, which I don't care about a whole lot personally, but some might.Overall a great design, different from most of the other docks out there, and maybe a future version would make a few improvements. But, it generally does what I need it to do, so I see myself keeping it attached to my Steam Deck for the foreseeable future.

Looking for a Steam Deck dock that is both portable and reasonably priced?
Hello Fellow Amazonians,If there is anything that there is no clear shortage on Amazon lately, is the amount of Steam Deck docks available for sale. There are wide variety of brands to choose from, but almost all borrow elements from the original OEM Valve dock. That is not a bad thing, but I feel it doesn't go far enough really. What if like most users, you are on the road a lot or just use your deck while out and about and need more I/O options? In to address this matter is the Hagibis Steam docking station. What sets this dock apart is that it affixes itself to your Steam Deck. None of the buttons or vents are covered in process [which is great]. I especially love that is very easy to both put this on or take this off your Deck. My initial concern was that this would fit in too tightly and score or scratch the Deck with placement or removal. The plastics involved are quite good on this dock. This is in turn, allows for a healthy strech which remedies this issue.Personally, I have been using this docking station as a portable solution when combining it with my NexDock. The NexDock is like a display dock that looks like a laptop, but is simply a laptop case with a monitor, keyboard, track pad, and some I/O being brought to life with whatever you plug into it [Raspeberry Pi, Samsung Dex devices and of course your Steam Deck]. Prior, I have been lugging a full dock around to pull this off and it was quite cumbersome and yet another item to add while traveling. The Hagibis dock really eliminates the need to drag a typical Deck dock with you and stays comfortably attached to your deck without getting in your way while doing handheld mode or adding a lot weight to the Deck.I have a few suggestions that I would love to see in a Version 2.0:-Use faster USB A ports [Currently this dock has 2 USB 2.0 ports which are bloody slow for file transfer and make no sense to use this day in age.]- Ethernet RJ 45 support [I would personally sacrifice one of the USB A ports for an Ethernet port. It would make the overall experience better, especially if you need to download a game or the game has larger updates.]-Lastly, I am not a fan of dangling cables. Hagibis has a cool design here, if the company could engineer a way to perhaps attach USB C cable you plug into the deck, the product would look sharper and be evern better. At this moment, all you can do is plug in the USB C cable into the Power Delivery port when not in use. It does work, but create this loop that doesn't let you put the Deck flat on desk or table. If they could make it where this cable could hide away and clip into the back flat when not in use, it would be amazing.I you are truly looking for a cool and truly portable dock on the go for your Deck, look no further!

A really cool idea
This is a nifty accessory for the Steam Deck! You just pop it on the back (the plastic tabs slot into the cooling vents on top) and connect the USB-C cable, and you've got an integrated HDMI connection, a couple USB ports, a USB-C charging pass-through port, and a kickstand for the Steam Deck without adding any significant bulk or weight. It even fits over a vinyl skin without a problem. It does increase the size in the back a little bit, and if you're using the original case for your Steam Deck it might be a bit too snug, but there are tons of cases out there with a little more room (and better management for the power supply, if you ask me).Excellent little accessory! Five stars!

At first glance, looks very promising. But disappointments starts to set in.
I immediately jumped on this thinking this is way better than the OEM dock from the looks of it. As other reviewers stated, issue is you need to take it off when using the OEM travel case as it won't close. Second, the HDMI output does not send audio, which I did not know until tried to use it on the go. It forces me to use the Bluetooth or stereo jack. Why did they cheap out with this? No audio output from HDMI?? Also, the USB-C passthrough cable could have been shorter so I can lay it flat. I cannot do that because it's too long. Cannot return it now that I threw out the original box that it came in on. Another piece of plastic into the landfill.

It doesn't send audio to your TV
I've reviewed a number of Steam Deck Docks and found that this one in particular is kinda lacking in a few aspects. First off, the thing is ridiculously small (which could be a plus if you're looking for something to stuff in a backpack or maybe even your pocket). It's made out of plastic that could possibly break if given just a bit of force to it at the bottom. It has an HDMI port and two USB type A ports that can be used to connect your keyboard and mouse, so that much is pretty standard. However, upon connecting it to my HDMI cable and TV I noticed that none of the sound ever came from the TV and only came from the Steam Deck itself. The image on screen was pretty sharp, but it also had a black border around everything on my 4K TV. I'm guessing that where other docks will stretch or scale the image, this one just opts to keep the resolution by adding the border. Maybe that's what you're looking for.Another issue is that because it's so small and flimsy, the only way it stands up is via a piece of plastic acting as a kickstand out of the back end. It didn't do a terribly good job of keeping the device standing since the minute a tug of my mouse was a bit too much, the whole thing flopped over. It's definitely made to be more portable rather than sturdy. The only plus I could come up with for this is that if you're looking for a dock that you could carry with you, this one has a slim profile and you could possibly just leave it attached to the back of the steam deck and only connect it when you're ready to connect to a TV and/or other peripherals.Since I'm looking more for a dock that I can put next to the TV and not move around a bunch, this is less than ideal for me. Also, some people might prefer the way it handles scaling an image on their TV, but I would think it'd be nice to be given a choice. I haven't seen any docks that offer a choice though. This would be equivalent to nVidia's "No scaling" option rather than trying scale it up and potentially making it more blurry in the process.Best use case for this dock would be to carry with you so that you can use it for mouse/keyboard attachments.
