We have a golden retriever that's mixed with chow. This replacement blade does a decent job for the top hair. But won't even touch the thick undercoat.

I put these blades to use as soon as they arrived, they are a huge improvement over the blade that came on my Andis clippers. I have four Bernedoodles and grooming was costing $80-$100 each, so we decided to do our own grooming. The Andis clippers are a good tool, but the factory blade isn’t very durable, I think we got three clippings with it. I bought two of the 9.5mm ceramic blades and switched them out when one got warm and had great results. I can’t speak about durability, as I’ve only used them once, but if they last through all four pups being clipped, they will more than pay for themselves. Workmanship and quality are good and I would recommend.

They lasted about as long as my name-brand blades before going dull. However, my sharpening guy refused to even try to sharpen them as he says it isn't worth the effort on 'generic' blades. I have no evidence he is right, but something to keep in mind.
