Very Nice Recliner
Purchased to replace a Lazy Boy that I had had for several years. Lazy Boy wanted over $1,000 to replace. I decided to give the GDF a try as the cost was a fraction of the Lazy Boy requirement. I am pleasantly surprised - the recliner arrived on time and set up very easily (two pieces). It is very comfortable and easily reclines. I also enjoy how the chair swivels which my Lazy Boy did not. I love the color - true to the Amazon picture. A warranty was offered for a reasonable price. This provide me additional comfort in knowing that probably the product was well made - which it appears to be. If I had any complaint it is that the foot or leg panel is somewhat difficult to maneuver when returning the chair to an upright position. I'm sure this will work more easily with practice. Purchase the chair with confidence.

It’s falling apart after just 4 months.
I have had this chair for 4 months, and over the past week it has been steadily self-destructing. Before that, it was very comfortable, a nice size, and exactly what I wanted. The back didn’t lock in on one side, but that was a minor inconvenience. But now back has literally broken in two just above where the channel hooks to it. The entire body has skewed and leaned to one side and two of the screws underneath (light ones) have pulled out. The wood of the frame is not neither sturdy nor strong and is very light. Even after replacing the screws one side sits on the floor. The recline, swivel and rock features still work great, but that is all made of metal. The chair has not been abused, only one person at a time has sat in it, and I haven’t been sitting in it other than what a chair is designed for. It is very poorly made.

Not as comfortable
I like the look of the fabric, but it is a bit rough. It is firm and that is fine, but it is already starting to "sink" one one side---which tells me the foam and padding is not of great quality. I like the smaller size and shape---but I don't think it will hold up that long. I will use it for now, until I find something better in a local store--- but it is not the quality I had hoped for

Almost impossible to return chair to upright and locked position by body motion as instructed.
The chair is attractive, comfortable and well-designed, but with one exception. It is a manual (i.e, not powered by an electric motor) recliner. Reclining the chair by body motion works well. However, returning the chair to its "upright" and locked position with foot rest fully retracted is impossible to accomplish by simply shifting one's weight in the chair, as instructed. Especially problematic is retracting the foot rest to its stored position by simply pushing it down to the locked position with one's legs. One has to climb out of the chair with the foot rest still extended, and push it down forcibly by hand to lower and lock it. I purchased two of these chairs, and both of them exhibit the same problem.

Best Chair Ever!
THIS GLIDER IS AWESOME! If you're on the fence - buy it now! It's so incredibly comfortable. It's very responsive; adjusting the level of incline or sitting up from being reclined just takes a little shifting of weight. I have slept in this chair many times! I'm 5'2" and most Lay-Z-Boys are way too big for me, so it was so great to find a recliner that was my size. My 6'2" tall husband also finds it comfortable.Lowering the footrest is pretty easy, getting it to click into place is a little harder. I find it helps to perch right on the edge of the seat, plant one foot on the floor, and use the other to kick back on the footrest.Assembly was also easy; it says to use two people but I did it just fine by myself. My only complaint is that the armrests look a bit square from the padding being compressed from shipment (and I assume warehouse storage). I've had this set up for about two months now and I was hoping the arms would regain their roundness.

Great chair but stubborn footrest
This chair is easy to assemble - my kids assembled it. It is also very comfortable and has a great swivel feature and is easy to move. Putting the foot rest down is hard though. I am able to do it but can easily see how someone could struggle with it.

and I am actually very glad it isn't overwhelmingly big like our old recliner
Beware, this is small, I thought it was a children recliner when the package arrived. It is not, it is big enough for an adult, and I am actually very glad it isn't overwhelmingly big like our old recliner. The color is true to the picture (got the blue one) and it is comfortable and has all the functions I was looking for. I love that it isn't microfiber because that material always ends up looking greasy around the head and arm parts. So far I am very happy.

Good price!
The Christopher Knight Swivel chair is very comfortable. It is easy to assemble. I was pleased with the quality of the fabric and overall construction of the chair. It’s also a good chair for small spaces. I recommend this chair.
