It's just a place to keep your CD/DVD's. It sort of collapses in areas that are not filled. Although I've purchased it to Store away a lot of DVD's. I've purchased these types about 10 years ago and found they served their purpose well. So I recently purchased these from this manufacturer with the same results so far.
