This is OK but nothing special. Expensive but a tube will last forever assuming the ingredients don't deteriorate. I felt it did somewhat soothe my inflamed gum.

If you're thinking about buying this product, it's important to understand what it's really for. PerioGelX isn't meant to be purchased and used on its own. It's designed to work with the custom Perio Protect trays you get from a dental office that offers that service. Those trays aren't cheap, mine cost close to $600 - but they're made using a laser device that precisely measures your gum line, so the gel can reach deep into your gum pockets where bacteria live. That's why I had to laugh at a few reviews where people complained that this $29 product didn't come with the $600 trays. The listing says "Shown to KILL BACTERIA in 10 MINUTES with comfortable Perio Tray delivery from PERIO PROTECT", which means you have to use the tray along with this. It doesn't mean the trays comes with it. This gel is primarily for periodontal disease (gum disease), not for teeth whitening - though the hydrogen peroxide in it does gently brighten your teeth as a side benefit. My results have been amazing. If you've ever had periodontal disease, you know how painful it is to go to the dentist every three months for deep cleanings (scaling). After using this product with my trays, my dentist was stunned. My gums looked dramatically healthier - lower pocket depths, no bleeding, and far less plaque. I also spent significantly less time in the dental chair than usual. You could technically buy cheap boil-and-bite trays online, but they won't compare to the precision of custom laser-fit trays. The accuracy makes all the difference because it ensures the gel reaches the deepest areas of your gums. The instructions from my dentist were simple: Apply a thin line of gel along the edge of each tooth compartment in the tray (like outlining the tooth tray). Wear the trays for 15 minutes twice a day for 30 days. After the first month, continue with one 10-minute session daily for maintenance. This product is a bit of an investment, but if you're serious about improving your gum health, it's 100% worth it!
