Finish LineShop Quality Bicycle Chain Cleaner

My kit did come with the finish line wet lube rather than the dry lube in the picture, but wasn't much a problem as I already had some dry and the wet seems easier to apply.The instructions are fairly easy to follow but not too in depth, it is fairly easy to work out and there are a few you tube videos with instructions. I run the chain through once then give it a wipe down with a rag before changing the fluid and giving it another go. Its not as thorough as taking the chain off and properly de greasing and scrubbing it but for a post ride clean it is pretty good.The best way I found to use it was to shift the chain onto the small ring up front and around 4th smallest cog on the rear, then clip the cleaner around the chain and hold it near the rear derailleur jockey wheel, pull down and pedal backwards you can adjust the angle of the cleaner to find the best resistance. Then just keep on pedalling! It is quite messy though so definitely worth doing outside.The included chain cleaner is meant to last 8 uses but without being able to see how much is left its hard to tell, on the bottle it says to mix 50/50 with water but the instructions don't mention this. There is plenty of de greasers available in 1l containers for a reasonable price so I would probably use them without water for a bit more cleaning power.

The product provides a good way to clean your chain and can last for a very long time. The only drawback I can find about it is the fact sometimes it holds the chain too strong and thus it can be quite hard to move the chain by means of pedaling. This even applies when the bike is secured on the bike stand. Probably you have to use it a couple of times before this small problem gets eliminated.

Wow!! Once you get to grips with clipping it on and holding in the right position this chain cleaner has amazing results and makes cleaning the chain super easy. My chain looked brand new again! The brushes got to work and all the crap that came off my chain was amazing to see in the chamber after. Highly recommended!

Prompt delivery. I use the chain cleaner once a week. It's extremely quick and easy to use and does a great job. Keeps the chain looking and functioning like new. The unit has one central solid clip to keep the chain in the brushes. I simply slide it up to the rear mech, lift the back wheel using the seat post and turn the crank. When I ran out of the cleaning fluid, which is part of the package, I started using white spirit which does the same job. There are cheaper products out there and it is more towards the top end of the price range but you get what you pay for.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. A good product that will prolong the life of mike mountain bike.
