Great for young chicks
We used this for moving our chicks outside for the first time after being in the brooder. We still take them into the brooder at night, but this allows them to go outside safely, although it's definitely not predator-proof.. a raccoon, fox or coyote could probably cause trouble if left to it. We had it nearby the house so we can easily check on it and only during daytime. Quick easy assembly. Sturdy. Looks nice and the babies love the roots. To me it was worth the price, rather than building my own because of the time it would have taken.

Worth it!!
This is amazing! Easy to put together, light and with really good quality. There are doors in both sides and a smaller one to add food and water. All with easy to use locks. One of my chickens got attacked by the others and I had to separate them. So she has her own place now. Definitely worth it!!!

Transition Coop for Chicks
Gives my younger chicks a safe place to stay in the coop until they are bigger. Could be built a little sturdier for the money paid. I think it is big enough to grow out 5 to 7 chicks. I’m crowding 9 in it for maybe a week because they are 5 weeks old already.

Keep baby chicks safe.
Saved my baby chickens. I got this to keep my baby chicks in safely. I had a black snake that was trying to get them in the garage but couldn’t thanks to the firm wire. I like that it has a roosting pole too. A good size for a few chicks.

Nice size
This cage fit well in our garage and was just right for raising a few baby chicks til they were old enough to join our grown up chickens outside. Easy to assemble. It has no bottom but we used cardboard for the floor for easy clean up. Has a nice gate and two rails for bird perching. Not heavy duty but definitely met our needs.

OK for the price
Assembly was easy, and the wood seems decent enough. The hardware mesh is a bit thin though - I worry about wildlife being able to tear through it and get to my flock.
