The chair arrived in terrible condition with traces of mold and dirt.

The product description indicates that the product is new, which I don't believe is true. Rust on the wheels, a loose wheel that rattles when I move the chair, scratches on the body, and a hole on the body. And the chair smells bad. Clearly not new. I feel totally ripped off. It was so expensive. I could not be more unhappy with my purchase.

The front seat tilt will not stay in place so the front edge hurts the back of my thighs, as it tilts up slightly. The seat is way too firm and hurts my butt. The lumbar support is not like what’s on the photos or any picture of the Aeron Classic chair. Unfortunately the returns aren’t handled by Amazon, so I am the whim of Chairorama if I can even return this uncomfortable and expensive chair.

While I understood this was a refurbished chair what I didn't know is that they wouldn't be using authorized Herman Miller parts. The arms are very loose fitting into the supports and there was a broken metal piece loose on the bottom of the box when it arrived along with the top of the case that hides the mechanical components. The front pad of the seat cuts into he back of my thigh when you sit on the chair and the tilt forward function doesn't seem to work (which may be where the metal piece came form). I will say the back support and recline feel like what I have grown to expect from a Herman Miller, but this chair should not have been this expensive given the parts used.

These are the chairs my office uses and they are great. So I decided to fork over the money and buy one for my home office instead of buying another $50 made out of fake leather and stuffed with chicken feathers. As soon as I got the chair installed and used it, things were amiss. The latches to secure the arm rests were very loose as well as the arm rest connection to the chair. From experience with these chairs, the arm rest connection to the chair are tight, unless its an older chair that's been used for a while. However, to be fair, I have not had issues with them. Although loose, they somehow stay in position except for clamping down the latch again every so often, but I have to do this at the office as well. Also, the height mechanism began to incrementally decrease while in use. So I am sitting here, working, while incrementally dropping to the lowest hieght setting. No chair from my office has ever done this, so I'd like to think that "me" is not the problem. It started out happening maybe, once a month, but as time has progress, its happening every time I use it. I am now planning the purchase of another chair brand. I don't know if its the seller, the chair or the chair company, but at THIS price point, these are NOT issues one would expect. Shameful. I don't know if five years of tolerating these issues, one of which is getting worse, is worth the cost.

Love this chair. Came in two pieces - easy to assemble. It’s’ refurbished but can’t tell. Looks brand new to me.
