This is just necessary for your night vision scope. By using this I can keep my scope on without using its IR light for long periods of time, then use this light when needed. It’s well built. I highly recommend this as part of your night vision system.

great wish I had ordered one sooner

Well, it works. The distance isn't that great though. I purchased this light to replace the one that came with my ATN 4K Pro but it doesn't have near the range, at 80 yards there's a noticable difference, granted it's a much smaller package and operates at a lower voltage, 3.7VDC vs 6VDC. It's rechargable so that's a hugh plus over the CR123 X2 required for the ATN light.The mount does NOT hold the light securley. I had to shim the light with two wraps of 33 (electrical tape) in order to hold it.The on/momentary switch works fine, no complaints there.Overall, for the money, it's a good light. I don't have a way to measure the nm but going by the clarity of the view through the NV, it's spot on. Sadly, for my needs, which is hog hunting at night, I can only recommend this light as a secondary or as a short term replacement, not as a primary. If your going to be using it, say less than 80 yards or have a very good NV rig, this will probably do just fine.

I bought this light to replace the IR light that came with a Day/Night hunting scope that stopped working. I have a ferrell hog problem where I live and I started hunting the hogs from my deer stand at night because they eat all corn and run off the deer. The original IR light stopped working so I bought this one. The tail cap button and the tape switch give off a distinctive "CLICK!" when you use either of them. The click is loud enough to scare off a wise ferrell hog. It can easily be heard up to 100 feet away in the quiet woods at night by human ears. It's getting 1 ⭐ because it's being advertised as a light that can be used for hunting. Anyone that has ever done any real night hunting will tell you that the noise from this IR light will spook any animal out the woods at night. The only good thing about this light is that it uses a rechargeable battery. Before I use this light I charge the battery up as long as I can and when I get to the hunting stand I turn it on and leave it on the whole time and hope it doesn't run out of power when I need it. I will be looking for another light in the meantime.

It's solidly built and works well. I got the version with the picatinny fitting - that seems solid too. Here are some details I had to dig to get:- It comes with a DarkBeam branded 18650 2000mAh battery. That seems like a pretty low capacity for a 18650 Li-ion battery. No idea what the actual capacity is. Surprisingly weighty for a lower capacity battery. It claims to be "low operating temperature".- The remote switch that came with mine has four buttons on it. One is raised, and that one is the on/off toggled button. There are three in the lower section, and they all seem to be momentaries (hold down to have the light on) that all do the same thing. As far as I can tell so far, they're all the same intensity.- Some lights are twist-to-zoom, but this one is just straight pull out to change the beam width.- The only 'flaw' I've spotted is that the cord for the remote is just glued into the back of the light. No real strain-relief there.

Highly recommend comes with charger and rechargeable battery lasts for roughly 4hrs of continuous use. Zooms in and out. 940nm highly undetectable wave length. Beats competitors by half their price at least if not more

A bit big, but it is more durable that others I've tried.
