Definitely follow the instructions on how to put the lid and filter on the pitcher! I ignored the directions and boy what a mess I made when I went to pour a glass of water!!I have only used purified water in my pitcher just because I want to make sure my water is the absolute best it can be, and to hopefully preserve the life of the filter. I was amazed at the difference in the taste of the water! It's delicious- but different from any other filtered water I've ever tried - it's better. I was sick with a head cold and bronchitis when my pitcher and filter arrived. GROSS ALERT: With every glass of water I drank, I would cough up phlegm (yuck!) and it tasted like a weak hydrogen peroxide. I continued to drink the water and I swear I got better faster than I would have without the water. I have also noticed a distinct improvement in my energy level. I do not think this product claims this side effect, but it has been true for me. I suffer from chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, among other health issues. I do not get out and about much due to my health - and when it is necessary it usually takes me 2-3 days sometimes to recuperate. Since starting on this water, I have more energy and hope that it is helping to heal my body from the inside out. I looked at many filtered water pitchers before deciding on this one. I am very happy with my final decision! I was not paid or offered anything in return for my review, it is 100% honest.

We have had a Lake alkaline pitcher for about a year now. When we needed replacement filters, we ordered these. They work perfectly and I love the taste of this water much more than our other filtered tap water container (Zero). I actually double purify our drinking water by using our regular pitcher first, and then when that is filtered, I pour it into the alkaline pitcher. Why not?

Easy to install. You just have to submerge the filter in water for 15 minutes, then rinse it under running water for two minutes. Remove the two small, round, plastic stickers from the bottom of the filter before installing. Water tastes great. I’ve had the pitcher for three years, but the issue I’m having now is that when you pour the water out and tip the pitcher forward, the filter falls out. So that’s annoying. The filters and pitcher are expensive and this shouldn’t happen. I’ve learned to not tip the pitcher all the way forward and I occasionally press the filter down to make sure it’s in place. I can deal with it, but for the price tag, I think the filter should fit better. I would give the filters 5 stars if they didn’t have this issue.

I have been buying these filters for years. I like them. They are easy to install and I don’t buy as much bottled water. I did check the alkaline some years back and it was satisfactory. I’ll check it again and update if I find otherwise. Wish they would have a sale.

I tried another before this one and this one has to be my favorite. I will be repurchasing for my 7 step alkaline water filter. The one I order previously to this one gave the water a weird taste. Although I followed the step by step instructions. This one didn’t give me that issue.. my son loves the taste of the water. Happy Buyer !

I love drinking alkaline water. What I didn’t like was that the instructions are not clear about what to do before you start drinking from the pitcher. The instructions don’t say anything about the stickers that you need to peel off the cartridge before soaking it. I had to call customer service to find this out. I gave them 3 stars for this reason but I would give them 2 stars if I could on the cartridge itself. Because I nce the cartridge is placed in the pitcher and it is soaked, it floats up and doesn’t stay in place. I thought maybe the cartridge was defective so I tried the other one and both cartridges did the same thing. Other than that once the waterholes through the cartridge, it tastes clean.
