Enhanced Zinc Lozenges - 30 Vegetarian lozenges

Having been fed up from two bad colds last winter I looked into natural therapies and came across the research mentioned below for zinc lozenges and this is the only one to meet the criteria. Well since Feb last year I've had no colds but I have had at least 3 or 4 on the verge before taking the lozenges and they stopped the colds dead. When I take a lot in a day I do get a slight headache but a price worth paying to not have a cold I think. As someone else said you need to be strict about taking them as soon as you feel it coming and then one every 2 hours. I actually like the taste and the size doesn't bother me, its slightly pepperminty. As far as I'm concerned, touch wood, its the cure for the common cold and I keep loading up on them and put them in the cupboard or my travel bag wherever I go. Only thing here is the delivery price and it adds it for each bottle so for 3 costs 21 quid which is ridiculous, they should look into that.Update Jan 2020Coming up to 3 years since my last full blown cold now and put it firmly down to using these. A couple did come out when i didnt take them in time or not enough but they reduced the symptoms and period significantly, had runny nose and a slight cough but clear head and sinuses and have had no sick days in that time. Noting a couple of other comments, the lozenge needs to take 20 mins to dissolve hence the size, for the ionization to work. Also cannot contain sorbitol or any kind of citrus as they stop the ionization. Hence i have only found this product to meet the criteria of actually killing the virus in the back of your throat. Just hope they dont ever discontinue!

I had been led to believe that this was a once-a-day zinc food supplement. When it arrived it suggested eating one every two hours but warning that this level of consumption would deplete copper in the body and cause gastric discomfort. The tablets themselves are huge, and, although the instructions say to dissolve in the mouth they just don't. I sucked for ages, and the thing never got any smaller! All that happened was that my mouth got dry and I had to spit the thing out eventually. Waste of money.

Awfully useful in the fight against nasty cold bugs. Suck one as soon as you get the first symptoms. AS SOON AS. It'll taste a bit unpleasant and dry out your mouth a bit. Worth it, as overall duration and severity of the bug won't be as bad. If you wait several hours, the lozenge will taste better but by then it's probably too late.Alternatively, just gargle with whisky.

I used to take a zinc supplement from the same manufacturer and thought I was buying the same product. However, this is a different product, the size of the lozenge is too big and does not dissolve well neither the expected effect is noticed. I use to have sores in my mouth which are easily gone with a small zinc lozenge. This one does nothing. My husband also uses zinc and he got very disappointed as well..

I bought these for my 85 year old mother who had been recommended them by a friend of hers. She is very happy with the product.

I bought these because I couldn't find more Swanson (sugar-free) Zinc Acetate Lozengers, big mistake!All lozengers _must_ have a uniformly smooth shape to be comfortable to suck on the tongue, for the minutes they take to gradually dissolve, so I think it a deceit to call these uncomfortably hard, sharp-edged, cylinder _tablets_ lozengers.This is lazy, crude packaging, needlessly bulked huge by several unnecessary grammes of Dextrose (pure sugar poison), something I normally avoid but somehow missed this time.As soon as I can find and buy proper sugar-free Zinc Acetate Lozengers these are going in the bin!
