Does what it's supposed to do!
It does exactly what it's supposed to do! Super fast transfer rates and perfect for checking device health of any refurbished drives you purchase!I will say it's heavy so it's best for laptops where it can sit on a desk/table surface when plugged in.

Functions perfectly
I used it to retrieve data from the SSD drive of a failed laptop. This adapter allowed me to remove the drive and access it via USB. Note there are several SSD drive interfaces so be sure you're buying a compatible adapter.

Heatsink attachment is too narrow to fit NVME drive
I tried to install a spare 980 PRO in this, but the metal piece that goes around the drive itself and acts as a heatsink is too narrow to fit over the drive and leaves an air gap between it and the thermal pad. Basically makes it unusable unless you want to make your own janky heatsink setup. 13 bucks so I'm not gonna bother with a return.
