I bought this to help a 7 year old with his KS1 math homework. He struggles with Math but is advanced in English. This dictionary really boosted his confidence with its simple verbal explanations and bright picture diagrams. He loves how colourful the book is which increased his interest and it reduced the stress of tackling his homework. It also allowed him to feel independent by looking up the relevant topic himself and reading the explanation; then relating it back to his homework. Very useful tool and I whole heartily recommend for children who are visual learners.

Excellent starter book for maths. The way I was taught maths when I was a child differs quite a bit to how it is taught now and so this helps me to understand how my children need to do their homework just as much as it helps them practice the concepts.

I love these books. They are colourful, well set out, easy to read and to understand. It's really good to be able to open the book and read an explanation that the kids will understand straight away. Super for the classroom! I've got the other subjects of these books too, all of which are great!

This was a good, clear text and children I work with enjoy looking at it. Bright and lively illustrations and clear, concise explanations of tricky bits in maths for KS1 children. Book quality was as described by retailer.

I bought this book for my daughter who is in Y1 and also for me as it's along time since I was in primary school and teaching methods seemed to have changed quite a bit. The dictionary is bright and colourful, simply laid out and easy for a child to navigate their way through. Superb quality as are all Usborne publications.

This is a great book with lovely, friendly illustrations to make early maths interesting and welcoming. One to dip in and out of I think as there is a lot of information there. Great for your young learner's educational library.

My daughter is very visual and finds maths hard. This book is fantastic, she is now 7 and loves it. It helps her understand and see numbers. Thank you to whoever put this together, I think we could all benefit.

If there is a 6-star choice, I would select it. This is just a fantastic book with amazingly good illustrations! I bought for myself to review the early math concepts but my kindergartener son fell in love with it so now we read together!

A handy resource for our homeschool library.
