I managed to get two coats (one thigh length, one jacket) and a dog jacket done with one bottle and might have enough left for a pair of thin walking trousers - I don't want to risk it without having another bottle to hand in case I only get one leg done! The results have also been tested in a really heavy downpour and seems to have worked well apart from two spots on the dog's jacket which can't have got the coverage the rest of it had. So that's the user at fault, rather than the product. Nikwax do sell versions without a spray nozzle but I wouldn't recommend buying them until you're decanting it into a spray as it's a nightmare to get even distribution otherwise. I've merged an old bottle into the spray bottle now and found it so much easier to apply.

Very good cleaning product for lightweight horse rugs and raincoats. Effective at removing dirt, and the reproofing spray works really well. Saves money as I can do the job myself.

I bought this as people keep recommending it as their holy grail for washing waterproof clothing. The instructions were clear and concise and I used it exactly as recommended. The tech wash did a great job of cleaning my waterproof jacket, but I felt that the waterproof spray wasn't as good. The tech wash was really easy to use, I used it when I washed my jacket by hand. There was minimal smell and overall no issues. The spray bottle was well designed and it has a lock when you want to carry it around / prevent leaking during storage. However, because it is quite a big spray bottle, it's hard to be exact when spraying which may cause you to spray outside of your jacket, which is a waste of the fluid, and causes the area to stink. The spray has a really strong chemical smell, I had to leave my jacket to air for at least 4 to 5 days because the smell rubbed off on anything that I put near the jacket. The place where I sprayed my jacket also smelt of the spray for about the same amount of time, even though I had wiped it down a cloth and water. Additionally, I'm not sure how effective the spray is, the first time I used it in the rain it was alright. But the second time I used it, the top layer of my jacket wasn't beading off water at all, this was about after about two months after washing and spraying.
