Melissa & Doug Wooden Lift-Top Desk & Chair - Espresso

I bought this for my grandson to use to do his school work. He loves it. It fits well with my decor and is easy to move to different rooms.

Very sturdy, wood came in good condition, I personally had difficulty putting it together but all pieces and parts were in working order.

I love this desk so much I have two now! 🤭 very easy to assemble

This little desk is so well made and both my granddaughters love it. They use it to play school on it. Well worth the money. Hope they will enjoy it for years to come.

The desks are fantastic! They are heavy wood with a nice hinge and plenty of good space inside the desk. The color is beautiful. They are the perfect size for us to start Home Schooling (because of Distance Learning). HOWEVER, while assembling the chairs, the one chair actually split one of the bottom rails apart (a sizeable piece flew off of the rail!). We had to glue it together. The other chair cracked in the same location, but didn't actually break away. We glued this spot also. This is very surprising because we have 4 of the Melissa & Doug play sets and they are fantastic! Overall, the desk is perfect, but the chair needs to be revised for assembly issues.

Purchased this for my granddaughter and she loves it. It was her own piece of furniture in our family room. She got to eat in it, play tea time and color.Easy to assemble and the color is fantastic.

Looks like a good made table but can not put it together. One of the legs has the wrong holes for the bolts given. Went to hardware store they can’t even find the right bolts to fit the holes. Table is now useless.sorry had to add more. This desk is pathetic. I have 2 kids and got one for both from Santa. Thanks a lot you poorly made product now I can’t get either desk put together. They both have the same issue with the size of the screw holes. Will never buy from this company again and seeing the reviews I should have read them first. Your desk sucks very upset. Now I either figure it out or take the time to take them apart and go to the post office to send them back. So very upset that your company knowingly has a problem and yet do nothing to fix it. Word of advice. NEVER EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!! You people suck.!!!!! Burn pile might be seeing some new desks. Your company and your builders suck!!!!!!! Oh and thanks for getting back to me and trying to resolve this issue. Not cheap price for sucky cheap desks. Bright side. lol. At least they have new chairs to sit in. What a joke.

I bought this desk for my almost-two-year-old for Christmas and it is so perfect! First of all, as soon as I opened the box, I was hit with a wonderful wood smell. It took some assembly, but I could see that this desk was very high quality, real wood (not particle board) and once assembled, was sturdy and solid. My son loves it. The chair is a little tall for him, his feet don't touch the ground when sitting all the way in the chair, but he doesn't mind. And I like that he can grow into it. His older brother (4 years old) fits fine and I can see this being a homework desk for Kindergarten and even longer. There is lots of storage under the lid, and I took the advice of one reviewer and ordered clear plastic make up containers for the ledge at the top for all his crayons. Opening the lid does not affect the containers and contents on the ledge at the top. My son has already scribbled with his crayons all over the top, but it wiped off easily and no damage to the surface. It seems to be coated with a protective glaze or something that protects it from dings and dents. It seems it will last for a long time. I highly recommend this desk.

Good quality with a nice finish. Amazon also quickly sent a replacement item after I noticed a small crack on the desk after installation. Overall the item is worth its price and my kid now enjoys doing his homework!

Bought this desk for my 5yr old and we love it. Its great quality for the price. Comes with a little storage area as well. Its very neat so we have it in our living room and it fits in with the rest of the house. Great buy
