Brilliant book, loads of history and of course fantastic images

Couldn’t recommend this book more, the photography of the abandoned properties is amazing. Along with the detailed histories of those properties it makes this book incredibly interesting. We all pass by properties everyday that eventually we overlook but have wondered about, this book tells some of those buildings stories.Oh and my kitten gives this book 10/10 as do I!

For me (personally), I think the image is everything. Rebecca has guided us into the greatest insight to abandoned Ireland. She has documented rich archive imagery through her photography book, through how emotionally the photographs feel, the editing, and the sequencing.It is a pretty deep sensory experience. Holding this quality physical book, smelling the pages, feeling the texture of the paper, adds to the experience. The texture and construction of the book, is absolutely lovely to inspect and experience.

I am delighted with this book, having been a fan of Brownlies work for quite some time. I believe this is a real niche idea to document abandoned properties and being local to many of them makes it all the more interesting. Stunning pictures and supporting stories are truly gripping. Will make a great addition to my coffee table collection

Great book to lift read put down and pick up and read again lovely photos inspired me to draw and would love to refit rebuild some of these buildings, see gets you dreaming lol.

Great pictures of abandoned properties in Ireland. Often it looks like people just walked out the door and left it all behind them. Rebecca is a very competent photographer and gets some lovely indoor pictures.

Absolutely outstanding book - images come alive with the accompanying story. It's so important that Irelands rich history is kept alive and this book certainly does that. 100% recommend.10/10 from me. Would make a lovely gift especially for ex pats
