Can this book shelve be fixed to the wall?

In my opinion it won't fix to a wall but I'm no expert. Bought it for my mother and it stands on a small table. We were very pleased with the quality and style.

Does it only hold small books?

Hello.... Initially I thought the rack was small but it holds all my cookery books which are sizes from A4 to paperbacks. It's a lovely design, I'm very pleased with mine.

is this deep enough to hold A4 folders

The rack itself is about 8" deep and is angled. A4 folders can be filed in it, yes, but they will of course jut out a bit. I think the answer here would be to file ( quite tightly ) nothing but A4 folders in it, end to end, and they will nicely prop one another up
