**Q: Is this mixer quiet?**
A: It depends on what you mean by quiet! It not silent but it's motor is fairly quiet compared with others. Also after constant use it will get noisier because components wear out.

**Q: What is the rotational speed, rpm, of the beaters at its slowest setting?  i don't want flour all over the kitchen at start-up.**
A: That’s a bit too scientific for me but provided your bowl is deep enough and you start on the first setting I can’t see that being a problem. Just take care. I can make a sponge cake in a bowl without redecorating the kitchen!

**Q: I have a cream, rubber coated hand mixer , 7-8 years old. Mixer works perfectly, but surface of mixer has become "sticky". What can I do?**
A: I had exactly the same problem. It also afflicted my travel hairdryer and various other soft touch plastic items. The mixer I tackled with a combination of many applications of neat bleach and gentle rubbing. It's fine for a time then the problem returns eventually. Chucked it in the bin in the end. Didn't even bother with other things  - just binned them.

**Q: The description says it is chrome but the colour selection makes no reference to chrome but says "white". is it chrome or white ?**
A: I suspect it's a mistake and that it should be designated 'chrome'.  After all, there is an all-white alternative (as well as red and black).  For what it's worth, I went for the black (with chrome trim) for reasons of practicality.
