Metra 82-8146 6" x 9" Front Speaker Adapter - Fits SELECT 2002-UP Lexus and Toyota Vehicles

Used these to replace the front speakers in my 2006 Lexus GX470. They work great. No issues or concerns. Good quality and perfect fitment. Easy to mount.

I got a non-Metra set of these adapters for the front door speakers in my 2025 Subaru Impreza. I shouldn't have. I should have gone directly to Metra for the front adapaters like I did for the rear doors. I ended up having no end of trouble installing the no-name adapters and ended up removing them and installing these Metras a few weeks later. The holes for the non-Metra adapaters didn't line up with the speakers or the door frame, there were no voids/pathways allowing the wiring to slip through and I had to cut portions of the plastic out to make the adapter fit around existing screws in the door frame. Just get these. They fit like they should. You'll be glad you did.

Disregard the screen I show next to the mounting bracket lol didn't have another picture. That is a picture of the mounting bracket inside of my 2007 Toyota Solara SE coupe (non JBL) and I am using this with the following speakers: Alpine SXE-69265 6x9 Coaxial. Works perfectly easy install easy everything comes a little notch above it so that you can run the wire up through it. I'll buy these exact ones for my 6x9s for the doors of any car in the future because I already know the quality will be good and it will be an easy install.

Worked just great to mount after market speaker to my 2013 ScionTC. Would get 5 stars but had to modify the left side adapter because it cover a panel mounting hole. Right side fit perfect.

Used these to replace the front door speakers on my 2008 Toyota sequoia with the factory JBL system. Made installation super easy. No drilling required.

These worked excellently in my 2003 Toyota Camry LE. Good quality, firm ABS. Only important thing to note is that these adaptors do have a “right side up.” If you don’t get the right side up, you’ll end up thinking you’ll need to drill mounting holes when you really just have it upside down. Pay attention!

We are using this on the front doors of a Lexus GX470. The D18 6x9 speakers fit perfectly in these, but there are a couple of things to note. First, the holes don't exactly match up on the bracket mount so we used short self tapping lath screws to make the connection between the speaker and the mount. Once we made the connection we mounted the whole assembly onto the door. The wires on this mount get sandwiched between the mount and the door. The wire assembly got taped together to prevent vibrations and so far it's worked out excellently. The OEM bracket had a special connection built into it which made it look smooth and purpose built. Overall this is a great mount to fit the 6x9 speakers. The plastic is sturdy and robust and easy to put into use.

Instead of improvising brackets or trying to force a fit, a proper adapter helps the speakers mount more cleanly and makes the whole install feel more straightforward. Metra usually does a good job in this category, and this is the kind of item that is not exciting but makes the job go a lot smoother. Works as expected. Fits perfect in 2011 tacoma front doors. Though only 3 screws fit into the pre drilled speaker mounting holes, i had to drill the 4th myself but that will depend on the speakers you use.
