Re-paste my laptop Legion 5 Pro 2021
Took a risk buying this, there were 3 issues: - Product listing has "Brand: JOYJOM" but the paste should have been made by Honeywell. - Cost (I paid £25.46) is far higher than any thermal paste I know of. - Posted from China or USA (I can't tell), not sure how I'd get a refund if it's not right. I used it to re-paste my laptop Legion 5 Pro 2021 16ACH6H because the processor reached 104°C using Arctic MX4. It worked as you can see in my screenshot attachments (they were running Cinebench r23) and reducing the temps in some of my games by up to 20°C. They provided provided tools but I think they were inappropriate, why do I need a screwdriver and a brush? They should have provided a tweezer instead to remove the plastic covering the pad.

Doesn't appear to be good quality
So I picked this up keeping my fingers crossed it's real PTM7950 (which is generally hard to come by) and unfortunately, looking at the temp results, it's not. I repasted my CPU and GPU with this stuff, expecting to see some substatial temp changes. It's reasonably well packaged and relatively easy to use (super thin layer, so it can be fiddly). Unfortunately, however, after repasting and running some benchmarking tests including Cinebench, AIDA64, and 3D Mark, I was disappointed to find the temps were worse than the stock thermal paste. I then repasted with Arctic MX-5 and saw a significant improvement. I'm running an i9 and an RTX 4090m (laptop). Results were (with no overclock): Stock idle: 55oc Stock Load: 90oc This stuff idle: 58oc This stuff load: 95oc Arctic idle: 47oc Arctic load: 84oc I don't know, maybe I got a bad batch here, but it really didn't perform as expected. I'd suggest looking for other sellers.

RX 7900 XT solved
I modified my graphic card. Look what I've tested Before 40C cooler 100C hotspot dangerously overclocked After 44C cooler replaced this to my graphic card. 50-60C hotspot greatly lowest about -40C temperature. Safe and forever use this. Thank you, my problem has been solved.

Not worth the effort
This is a good quality kit, but I have found the temps to only be around 3 degrees lower than the Noctua thermal paste I was previously using. When you consider the extra time and money involved in sourcing this and installing it, I don’t think it’s worth the bother

Dropped temps by 5° !
Great item, well packed, used in my steam deck which dropped temps by temps under max load by 5 degrees. Would recomed. I advise freezing it before use, helps alot with handling.
