Yes, you read that right, I've velcroed a fire alarm to a ceiling unsuitable for drilling - "medium" relief textured ceiling no less! It solved a problem without any drama which is a good thing. I applied the "loops" to the ceiling and the "hooks" to the thing because the loops pad is more malleable insuring better surface contact. Then, crucially, let the pads "cure" for 24 hours before sticking the two together or they're liable to fall down. Would buy again for similar application.

Worked exceptionally well for my purpose. Very happy with them.

Used three of the velcro disks to stick the wooden panel back across the top of wooden slatted blinds. The panel is lightweight wood, but the box at the top of the blinds is metal. Glue didn’t work, but these are brilliant. Tip - the velcro is really powerful so keep the discs separate, stick them on both surfaces individually & leave them a day for the discs to be really strongly stuck on before you connect the two opposing sides of velcro together.

Great heavy duty Velcro which is extremely reliable, I have some that have been in use for several years holding smoke alarms which makes it very easy to replace batteries. I have another set on a wall clock and also holding a cordless vacuum on the cupboard wall.

They’re good for holding up extension leads or cords to the wall if you want more ‘wall sockets’ but they can fall off if you don’t add enough which is what happened in my case as there was one missing.
