Maths Dictionary
I am a Davis Facilitator for Dyslexia. As well, I help those with Dyscalculia to find solutions to their problems. Once they have done the programme with me, and they have no more difficulty with numerals or with numbers, they can access the information in this maths dictionary. It is simple and straightforward and provides the basic knowledge that we all need to understand mathematics and arithmetic. I would recommend it to anyone who is doing maths and wants to Master the concepts.

Excellent for pupils starting secondary school through to GCSE
This starter mathematics dictionary is highly recommended for students starting at secondary school, and will take them through to basic GCSE. It has just the right amount of detail for this level. Note: it is not suitable for mathematics study beyond GCSE.I can't really put it better than one of my foundation level students who, having battled with her notes, and with definitions and remembering eg the difference between mean, median and mode, and the number of sides of a pentagon just said, with a big beam, "This is just brilliant!!".

a good buy.
I purchased this for a year 5 child & I've been told it helps alot. The child uses it in Saturday school maths lessons & I have been told of improvements with the likes of fractions and timetables. The child I have bn told and have seen paperwork to correspond has gone up a level in thier maths attainment at school also since aquiring this book. I am pleased. So I can recommend and say it was a very good purchase. Thank you.

Warning! There is a swastika in this book!
I have just received this book, and flipping through it I have come across a swastika in the section on rotational symmetry. The last thing you want children to start doodling in their books. I am a tutor and use several Peter Robson books, but this one will have to be returned.
