The Gretsch Electric Guitar Book: 60 Years of White Falcons, 6120s, Jets, Gents and More

Poorly sub-edited
in comparison with Bacon's book on the Gibson ES335 it's second-rate - just like the subject. It's also badly dated since Fender, the real owner never mind the technicality, has been very active with new models since the publication. Should be in the 'remainder' pile.More importantly, it's badly edited, far too many links to source notes are left an 'x' - looks like no one gave a damn.

Historically Accurate
A detailed history of Gretsch with many first-hand interview with significant figures from the company. If there is a criticism it id that there are not nearly enough photographs of Gretsch guitars, although the images that are included are of excellent quality. If you want the history of Gretsch, then the book is essential reading.

Gretsch book
Having just acquired a Gretsch guitar I ordered this book and have not been disappointed It is a fabulously illustrated tour through the history and wonderful instruments of Gretsch. Lots of information and lots of superb colour illustrations make this book a joy to read and dip into. The information is scholarly and put in a very readable form. An excellent book you will return to time and again Highly recommended!
