When I purchased the Mantecados Y Polvorones, I carefully looked at the list of ingredients shown in the Amazon listing several times and there was no mention of any sugar. I’ve never had this type of food before, so I thought it might be a sort of semi-sweet / savoury food, like some unsweetened oat biscuits can be. I thought or hoped these cakes might be similar to other “El Artesano” products, some of which are sugar-free such as their ‘turron’. Personally, I am trying to avoid any processed sugar, but obviously people will have different requirements and tastes etc. Unfortunately, when they arrived, I looked at the ingredients on the box and each cake had sugar as one of the main ingredients. 25g out of 100g is sugar, in fact, from the nutritional information table. These cakes might be delicious, I don’t know, but I’m just disappointed that sugar was omitted from the ingredients list on Amazon. Therefore, for anyone who might want to know the full list of ingredients, I am including them below: Mantecado De Cacao Wheat flour, sugar, lard, powder cocoa (2%), vanilla aroma, antioxidants (E-320 Buthilhidroxianisol BHA). May contain traces of nuts, peanuts, sesame and sulphites. Almendra Rellena Wheat flour, sugar, almond (23%), palm fat, wafer (wheat flour, soy lecithin, sodium bicarbonate, titanium dioxide), nougat aroma and almond aroma. May contain traces of peanuts and milk. Mantecado De Canela Wheat flour, sugar, lard, cinnamon (1%), sesame and antioxidants (E-320 Buthilhidroxianisol BHA). May contain traces of nuts, peanuts, sesame and sulphites. Mantecado De Coco Wheat flour, sugar, lard, shredded coconut (5%), coconut aroma, antioxidants (E-320 Buthilhidroxianisol BHA). May contain traces of nuts, peanuts, sesame and sulphites. Alfajor Wheat flour, sugar, lard, almonds (16%), cocoa powder, cinnamon, clove, sesame, aniseed, anise and almond flavouring, antioxidants (E-320 Buthilhidroxianisol BHA). May contain traces of peanuts, milk, soy and sulphites. Mantecado De Limon Wheat flour, sugar, lard, lemon scent, antioxidants (E-320 Buthilhidroxianisol BHA). Ce biscuit sont très bons et différent de tout ce qu’on peut acheter ici en France car ils sont typiques de leur pays, ils sont légers et il y a des goûts pour tout le monde, je recommande à 100 % cela fait toujours plaisir quand on les reçoit
