I normally buy the mavala stop biting nails to help my son, does this one do the same (help stop biting nails) and if not can u use them both together

Does not do the same thing, this is a nail hardener only. Would have thought you could possibly use them in conjunction, though cannot see what the point of that would be.

I bite my nails and now they are growing they break easy, so would this help strengthen them as they grow

Yes I believe so, I bit my nails for about 20 years and they were thin when I allowed them to grow. This will make them less brittle and then I noticed my nails becoming thicker after growing out for a cycle or 2

Does this soak into the nail or leave a layer of nail varnish?

It soaks into the nail leaving no trace. It is excellent for strengthening nails along with OPI nail strengthener 2 coats on top .

Is this meant to smell absolutely awful? I either have one out of a bad batch/out of date or it’s just meant to smell absolutely awful!?

It does smell a bit but once it dries on your nails it’s fine. Try not to smell it!!
