What is the difference between the jx-03 and the jx-06 as the black one comes in either? is it size or what?

THE JX-03 FITS ONLY 1 TYPE OF GUITAR AS IT IS SLIGHTLY CURVED , SO WOULD NORMALLY BE FOR A 6 STRING GUITAR ( ELECTRIC OR ACCOUSTIC ) THE JS-06 FITS ANY GUITAR AS IT HAS 2 DIFFERENT SURFACES . ONE LEG IS THE SAME AS THE JX-03 AND THE OTHER LEG IS LONGER AND FLAT FOR 12 STRING GUITARS OR ANY INSTRUMENT WITH A FLATTER FRETBOARD

Can this capo be adjusted to leave an open E string?

I tried it on the 5th fret and the open high E played ok. It had to set up carefully to avoid the open string ringing against the capo. I couldn’t get it to work leaving the Low E open, the A wasn’t sounding properly.

If the jx-06 is universal, why would anyone buy the jx-03?

The clam-handle versions may be / are faster to move on the fretboard than the version with the screw.
