Finally got some of my desk space back
I bought this because my desk was getting ridiculously crowded between my monitor, notebooks, chargers, and whatever else I dump on it during the week. I’m in college and use my computer for both school and gaming, so having my keyboard permanently taking up a huge chunk of the desk was getting annoying. This ended up being a much more useful upgrade than I expected. The tray has enough room for my keyboard and mouse without feeling super cramped, and being able to slide everything underneath when I need to write or spread out notes is SO nice. My boyfriend uses my computer sometimes too and he actually commented that the desk feels bigger now, even though obviously nothing about the desk itself changed lol. I specifically appreciate the clamp mounting because I really didn't want to drill holes into my desk. Installation wasn't difficult, although getting everything lined up evenly underneath took me a few minutes of adjusting. I'd recommend loosely positioning both clamps first before fully tightening everything instead of doing one side completely at a time. Once tightened down, mine feels pretty sturdy. There is a little movement if I intentionally push down hard on it, so I wouldn't treat it like an armrest, but normal typing and mouse use haven't been an issue at all. The sliding mechanism works smoothly enough and I haven't had it randomly creeping back out after I push it underneath. One random pet-owner detail: getting the keyboard off the actual desktop has also reduced the amount of cat hair that somehow teleports directly between my keys 😂 Not eliminated, obviously, because cat hair obeys no known laws of physics, but it helps. Definitely measure your desk thickness and the space underneath before ordering, especially if your desk has support bars or drawers. Also check that you'll have enough clearance for your knees once it's installed. Those are probably the two things I'd want somebody to tell me beforehand. Overall, it's a simple product, but it does exactly what I wanted. If you have a smaller desk or regularly switch between computer work and handwriting, the extra usable surface space is genuinely noticeable. I'm really happy I went with the clamp version instead of permanently drilling into my desk.

Great quality and at a great price!
Just what I was looking for! This tray provides enough clearance to use with my ergonomic vertical mouse and my ergonomic keyboard. It has a study feel to it and I love that it doesn't include a wrist rest because my keyboard already includes one that cannot be removed. The quality is better than I expected. The metal mounts to the desk clamped on securely and are very stable! The edges on the metal are very smooth and won't snag on anything.

It has some minor annoyances but serves its purpose
I was excited that this tray was the right size. All the ones I had been looking at were either 1 inch too long or too small for a full size keyboard and mouse. I don't actually have the mouse on it right now, but there is room if I want it. I had to add some 1-inch blocks to get the clamps to play nice with my desk frame, this could be avoid if the clamps were a fixed bar with pads style clamp instead of the wobbly disks. While the clamps themselves don't really move, the tray doesn't slide in/out evenly if pulled from the middle. I have to grab both sides to get it to slide out straight or pull it out in small increments. A handle of some sort in the middle might help with this to get a better/more even grip. My biggest complaint though is the carbon fiber coating on the edge of the "ergonomic" bezel wasn't attached properly and snags on my hand or whatever brushes against it. I can easily get the whole width of a finger nail under (including the curve) between the gap. The rest of the tray is fine, just the left panel had this problem. While it hasn't chipped or torn yet, this will likely be the first spot to be damaged as a result. Overall the tray serves its purpose and matches my desk, which is what I needed to save desk space.

Useful surface might be only 7 inches deep! and parts don’t match diagrams
EDITED TO ADD: Be aware that the depth of the platform—listed as a 11.8" surface—loses more than 3.5 inches under the desk on a unit that does not include a kneehole. On my computer armoire, I need a tray that protrudes the full 11.8 inches, but with no kneehole space and its beveled edge, this tray offers only a usable flat 7 inches! DIAGRAMS: Be prepared! The pictures in the printed instructions do not match the actual pieces provided. The diagrams are wrong on two counts: 1) in the diagrams it looks as if the two keyboard boards have mirrored router recesses so that they can be joined by a metal plate (called a board in the direx) screwed into a cutout on each side 2) the screws provided for the plate are *not* the countersunk screws (flat screw heads) that are shown. Yes, I know I'm showing tiny pictures, but in my photo you can see the direx use the term "countersunk" screws—but they are *not.* The metal plate/board does not have countersink, tapered holes because it is actually bolted onto the outside surface of the keyboard boards. Yes, it's true that the unit can be easily assembled with the parts that are provided, but just don't expect everything to look like it does in the diagrams.

Great Addition to work at home Desk
My desk has a slight bevel on it, and this worked wonderfully to give me more workspace on top and have a place to lay the papers to type from. Excellent addition to my desk and work from home.

Perfect for my adjustable desk
I had a hard time finding a keyboard tray to fit around the mechanical bits of my adjustable desk. This one is the perfect fit and size for my ergonomic keyboard and mouse. Good quality and sturdy.
