It is super easy to install and is well fixed, without vibrations or movements even if the road is full of potholes. I've had this installed in my 2004 Acura TL for a month now and it does the job well. It's secure when driving, but I do notice slight shaking up and down sometimes. It doesn't bother me too much, but I think it's important to note for others. I also found that because it's located right above the shifter, I have to be more aware of my hand movements. I bumped it a couple of times after lifting my hand off the shifter and knocked it out of the cd player. I think this is more of a personal issue, so I'm not docking points for it.

The holder is sturdy, and highly adjustable, the suction cup has glue on it and sticks very well to a clean, even surface, if you do not have an even surface, no worries, you also get a bigger circular base that you can glue pretty much on any clean surface and then use the suction cup to glue on it! Dont want to use the suction cup and would rather have it installed on the vents of your car? No worries! there's also an acessory for that included in the package! The holder itself is pretty simple and fine to use, almost all contact zones are padded to avoid scratching your cellphone, when i say almost, that's because the pad that enters into contact with the back of your cellphone is very thin and at the arms area there is a small percentage of plastic margins protunding a bit, nothing major imho as that plastic is not sharp and doesnt seem like it would cause any issue, there are so many plastic unpadded smartphone holders out there that are far more expensive than this one with lower quality overall and still are fine, so by that account this is actually great! 5/5 Stars! Very sturdy holder. Better than my expectation. It does widen the CD slot opening after a while.

I do love that it doesnt bounce around and it clamps really well. it releases very quickly as well. The only thing i wish it had a longer base to accommodate my pop up that is on the back of my phone. it barely sits on the bottom shelf.
