Very nice for the price, but mounting is sketchy for most people
Nice little fan/ light, certainly well worth the cost.3 speeds, not super silent, but acceptable sound level. The fan/light proper is solid and nicely made, and the remote functions well. What the photos do not show is that the main body is basically like a giant light bulb, tn that, at the top is a standard light bulb screw base, so basically you can screw this into any ceiling porcelain socket, or any pendant lamp that it will physically fit into. If the pendant lamp is free swinging, when you start the fan the torque will rotate the pendant a bit, but it stabilizes. The corded component shown in the photos is at bottom a female socket, again, standard light bulb style, it is the top that gets funky. The top terminates in 2 wire conductors, the little 4" diameter trim cup slides over the wire and is kept from sliding down the cord by a little setscrew, (my trim cup was missing that setscrew). What remains is how to hang the light! There is no provision for attachment to a ceiling j-box. There is a eye hook and drywall anchor included, so perhaps they envision installing that into the ceiling and using the included small plastic strap as a hangar/ strain to support the cord, hanging the lamp in that fashion. That would work, but the issue of the 4" diameter cup mating to a 6" j-box still leaves the customer wanting for an adapter ring of some sort; easy for the handy person to solve, but problematic for many, I am sure.Complicated, yes, more so as there is no instruction that shows the manufacture's intent. What is missing is:-simple instruction diagram- a plastic trim ring with an outside diameter of 6.5" and an inside diameter of 3.5", preferably adhesivebacked.

Okay overall. Nothing special
It's only okay. . . It's decent for small areas and works in the sense that it moves air around. . . However, it doesn't do a great job of blowing air down and on you like a ceiling fan would. . . It's more like you can just feel the air circulating. It's a decent price point, and like I said, if it's a small room, it's likely fine for what you need, but it's not spectacular in what it does.Very easy to install and use though.

Easy to install options
At first I was a little concerned about installing this fixture because it has some bare wires that I would have to take some time installing. However I then noticed the the fixture itself can simply screw into a light bulb socket. The addition of the cable that comes with this would be nice for ceilings that are a little higher up enabling the fan to be lower and more effective at a closer range.I'm able to plug this right into my light fixture socket and it works immediately. The remote control it comes with turns the fan and light on. There are warm and cool tones of light with many variations in between them which is nice. With a tap of a button from the included remote the fan can be turned off and on with low and high modes. The output of air is fairly small. This unit is probably not suited for bigger rooms but maybe a small room needing just a breeze to keep you cool at night like above one's bed.The sound from the fan is somewhat quite but wouldn't be bad as a "white noise" for sleeping. It's not annoying to hear.I use this in my garage above my wood working station and use it for heat. I heat up my garage and the heat all rises to the ceiling and this helps to blow it back down. I look forward to this in the summer as well to keep me cool. This has some plastic features that seem a little bit on the cheap side. But it does a move air well enough for a quick plug and play fan.The light is nicely diffused and is actually fairly bright which has been helpful.

Works, but you'll probably need to do some wiring
OK, so my first time ordering one of these (identical model, different name) it arrived broken. This one arrived in good shape, so that's a bonus I guess. The main unit has a standard light socket screw-in connection. If you happen to have a single light socket that points downward, you can forego the cable and just connect directly and it does work. The remote is the same old cheap Chinese membrane thing you get in every LED device from China these days, but the fan works, the light is fairly bright, and it's a good basic way to add a ceiling fan to a room.HOWEVER... This comes with NO directions. Just a little single-sheet that makes next to no sense. And the problem is that if you need to use the cable to extend this, the cable they include with it ends in two bare wires and NOT a screw-in light socket connection. That means that if you want to hook this up, you'll need to know how to wire it in, or hire an electrician. They give no instructions whatsoever on how to use this cable and it's two bare wires, so good luck! I wouldn't recommend mucking about with your household wiring without knowing what you're doing, or even which wire is positive and which is negative. A decent manual would have been nice. Even a little clue as to what we're supposed to do with those wires might have been helpful, but alas... Nothing. So I'm forced to give this a three-star review. A lack of instructions is a knock against any product, and the fact that this is an electric device that terminates in bare wires without any explanation or guidance means that it's not only poorly-documented, but it could be dangerous in the wrong hands. I'm going to call it three stars. It's OK. The fan works, but that lack of information is just too much to ignore in this case.
