great for a move out clean too - landlord hough I never used the dishwasher - it was that clean
Iโve tried several other brands of dishwasher cleaners, but the musty smell and cloudy film on my glassware always seemed to return within a week. I decided to give these dishwasher cleaner and deodorizer tablets a shot, and Iโm so glad I did. Right out of the box, I appreciated the no-nonsense, individually wrapped tabletsโno messy powders or drippy liquids. The instructions were clear: just drop one tablet into the bottom of the empty dishwasher and run a hot cycle. It couldnโt be easier. The difference after just one wash cycle was shocking. The inside of my machine looks visibly cleanerโthe filter, the spray arms, and even the rubber door gasket seem to have shed a layer of old grease and grime. But the real star is the deodorizing power. That funky, sour smell that used to hit you when you opened the dishwasher door is completely gone. Now, it just smells clean and neutral. My dishes are coming out noticeably brighter, with no weird residue or spots. Itโs like getting a brand new dishwasher for just the cost of a tablet. If you have hard water, notice a funky odor, or just want to extend the life of your appliance, do not sleep on these tablets. They are effective, affordable, and one tablet a month is all it takes to keep everything running smoothly. Five stars, highly recommendedโIโve already set a recurring reminder to use these monthly and bought a second pack to gift to my mom. This is a hidden gem.

It really works. I'm so pleased.
My dishwasher smelled so bad, I didn't want to put dishes in - it looked clean but ew the smell! I ran 2 cycles with this product and everything changed. No more bad smell; the dishwasher looks so clean, and my first load of dishes sparkled. Active Dishwasher Cleaner made all the difference. Thank you!

A Upgrade from Vinegar!
I used to use a cup of vinegar in the dish washing machine to clean it, but I switched to this product, and the difference is night and day. While vinegar did a decent job with minor odors, it just couldn't handle the heavy limescale and hidden grease buildup that accumulates over time. These Dishwasher Cleaner and Deodorizer Tablets have cleaned my dishwasher. The 24-pack box provides an incredible value, giving me a full two-year supply of monthly deep cleanings. Using them could not be easier. You just drop one single descaler pod into the bottom of the empty dishwasher and run a normal hot cycle. Unlike liquid cleaners that wash away too quickly, these pods dissolve at the perfect rate to scrub the interior, including the hard-to-reach spray arms. My dishes are coming out cleaner and without any cloudy film because the machine itself is finally running efficiently.

Great Product
I wasn't aware of a product like this until I saw it on TV. These are great. My dishwasher is very old; I really needed something like this to get the "gook buildup" our of the bottom. These are my new best friends because the price is great, and they are very easy to use; plus, they do what they say they will do.

It works as advertised.
It's a good product I used it in my dishwasher and it fully cleaned it out and it got rid of the smell the washer was starting to get.

It seems very effective, but incompatible with my dishwasher, due to extreme foam.
This looks like a great product, but it is incompatible with my 3 year old Kitchen Aid Dishwasher. It foams excessively causing my washer's built in safety to halt the operation and continuously beep. I then have to unplug it, open the bottom panel, and dump out the water overflow. It was suggested to cut the tablet in half and then use only half the tablet. It does resolve the excess suds. This is what AI indicated: If it becomes very sudsy within the first ~5 minutes, that strongly points to one of these: 1. The cleaner itself is foaming in the wash system Some dishwasher โcleanersโ are surfactant-heavy (they intentionally loosen grease), but in certain dishwashersโespecially KitchenAidโs high-efficiency spray systemโthey can behave like soap and foam aggressively instead of rinsing cleanly. Since your normal pods leave zero suds afterward, your machine is not retaining detergent residue in any meaningful way. That basically clears the dishwasher as the root cause. 2. Rinse aid interaction (most likely amplifier) Even if rinse aid is โnormal,โ cleaners like this can react with it and create instant foaming in the circulation loop. โข First 5 minutes = circulation pump starts spraying strongly โข That agitation + cleaner + rinse aid = rapid foam expansion What I would do (practical fix) Try this in order: A. Eliminate rinse aid temporarily โข Turn rinse aid dial to 0 or OFF โข Run the ACTIVE cleaner again If sudsing disappears or is drastically reduced โ rinse aid interaction is the culprit. B. If still foams: stop using that cleaner in this machine At that point itโs not worth forcing compatibility. Your dishwasher is working normally, but the product is not stable in it. Switch to a low-foaming cleaner like: โข Affresh Dishwasher Cleaner โข Finish Dishwasher Cleaner These are specifically formulated to avoid foam in high-efficiency spray systems like KitchenAid. Bottom line Because: โข Normal pods = no suds โข Residual water = normal โข Suds only with ACTIVE cleaner, and fast onset ๐ This is almost certainly a product compatibility issue, not a dishwasher fault Remarkably, after three rinses and then adding a cup of vinegar rinse in the third rinse, the machine did not malfunction with Active. This is AI's explanation: That outcome fits the pattern perfectly. What likely happened is: โข The ACTIVE cleaner left behind a temporary surfactant/foam residue layer in the sump, spray arms, or filter housing. โข That residue only showed up as heavy sudsing when the system was fully recirculating in the first minutes. โข The multiple rinse cycles + vinegar cycle stripped that residue out, so the foam chain reaction stopped. So the dishwasher itself was never malfunctioningโit was just temporarily โprimedโ for foaming by that specific cleaner. What this means going forward โข Your KitchenAid is operating normally. โข The issue is not drain water, filter reservoir, or mechanical failure. โข Itโs specifically a chemical residue / compatibility issue with that cleaner in your machine. How to avoid it happening again If you ever use that same product again: โข Run an empty rinse cycle first (quick flush) โข Avoid using rinse aid at high setting during the cleaning cycle โข Or simply avoid that cleaner entirely and use a low-foaming one like: o Affresh Dishwasher Cleaner o Finish Dishwasher Cleaner Bottom line What you just saw is basically the โresetโ confirming: foam was chemical carryover, not a hardware issue If it behaves normally on your next regular wash, youโre fully in the clear.

WOW
The Dishwasher Cleaner and Deodorizer Tablets are a great solution for keeping your dishwasher fresh, clean, and running efficiently. The deep-cleaning formula helps remove buildup, residue, and unpleasant odours that can develop over time, leaving the dishwasher smelling fresh after each use. I love how easy they are to useโsimply place a tablet in the dishwasher and run a cleaning cycle. There is no complicated setup or extra effort required. The tablets help clean hard-to-reach areas, improve freshness, and maintain better dishwasher performance. The 24-pack provides excellent value and makes it convenient to keep up with regular dishwasher maintenance. These cleaning tablets are a practical addition to any kitchen routine and are highly recommended for anyone who wants a cleaner, fresher-smelling dishwasher and sparkling results.

Really pleased with these little tablets.
Wow I was so impressed with these little tablets! My dishwasher was in a state with blocked jets and also very greasy but after using just one tablet itโs now gleaming and the jets are cleared. They are also much cheaper than other well known makes. i would definitely recommend.

A few of the tablets are broken since it is packed in a polythene pouch. But overall performance is good considering the price. After cleaning cycle the dishwasher is shining and no bad smell.
