Watching these two rediscover each other again was amazing
I had been looking forward to reading Slyvie's story since we first met her in 'Things I Wanted To Say, But Never Did.' From the beginning, I was intrigued by her and Spencer's relationship.Beautiful yet broken Slyvie had lived her whole life under her toxic overbearing mother with extreme münchausen syndrome by proxy’s thumb and her only escape was her brother's best friend, the charming, sweet, and protective and loyal Spencer Donato. He was her little secret sanctuary until an awful situation caused her to lose him for good. Years later, she meets him again at a wedding, and it's clear they're not the same people they used to be, but despite everything that happened between them, their connection is still there, pulling them both together.Watching these two rediscover each other again was amazing, and I appreciated the flashback chapters that allowed us to experience part of their teenage relationship;and how they ended up where they did.⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

3.75 stars 3.5 spice
3.75 stars 3.5 spiceDnf at 70%So don't get me wrong I liked this book. I didn't dnf it because it wasn't good just towards the end it got predictable and kinda draged on quite a bit.Anyway, the plotThis is the third book in the Lancaster prep series, I would say you should read things we wanted to say but never did first just then you can understand Sylvie and a character and person more this book just explains her and her relationships better. It's basically set 2-3yrs after things we wanted to say but never did and what happened to sylvie afterwards. The main story is about Sylvies relationship with Spencer being dual pov and how they reconcile also ✨️spoilers✨️ how they get married at the end. There is a sub plot about Sylvies relationship with her mother but that also gets kinda stale and dull.In the authors notes it's said that Monica Murphy wrote this in between writing other books not all in one. Now this might be just me but knowing that now I think you can tell it wasn't written all at once. Everything aside i did love Spencer and Sylvie. And of what I read it was a solid book, now is a must read. No. However all of that said I'm super excited to read the next book the in series.

WOW!! My fav Lancaster’s story!
Sylvia Lancaster… wow wow wowI couldn’t wait to read Syl and Spence’s story and Monica Murphy didn’t disappoint. It was for sure a hell for a ride but the path to redemption for the famous Lancaster older daughter was full of emotions and raw moments. “Sylvie Lancaster is really the devil in disguise.”Spencer and Sylvia always had a love hate , dysfunctional relationship. For some odd reasons, Sylvia is Spencer’s kryptonite… but at what cost!I couldn’t understand the relationship between mother and daughter and I’m not gonna lie, it made me feel uncomfortable at times. Sylvia needed help, needed someone to take her away… how can the person that give you birth be also the person of your nightmare? Your living nightmare?Marriage was her only option …and California her salvation. The story was angsty, heart wrenching at times and dark.Sylvia want to be loved but more than anything she wants to be free.Spencer has everything money, successful career and he is hot hot hot… but since he laid his eyes on Sylvia… it’s always been her but she went too far. Can he forgive and forget? “There’s too much history between us. It’s painful and it’s rough, but it runs deep. So deep, it’s as if she throbs in my veins. In my blood. In the depths of my very soul”.Sylvia Lancaster was beautifully written and as a reader we could feel all her emotion, pain and fears thanks to the author’s talent. She’s my favourite heroine and Spencer is her knight- epic and real love story!A must read!

Relatable!!
So it was a slow start with this book. The deeper I got into it, the more connected I got with Sylvie. She & I had very similar relationships with our moms so believe me when I say this book definitely got some tears out of me. It's truly unfortunate how often some of us girls experience these hardships with our moms. I'm so glad Sylvie was able to overcome her traumas & move forward with life. Also, she & Spencer are sooo stinking cute!! Can't wait to start the next book in the series & become as well acquainted with Carolina & the rest of the Lancaster family!

The story of Sylvie and Spencer is one of heartbeak and angst and so many twists. In the end it is also a story of redemption and true love. Great read.

“You say you love me again and I’m never going to let you go. It doesn’t matter what happens. I’m by
I've been waiting for the Sylvie and Spencer story since Things I Wanted to Say But Never Said because, let's be honest, the scenes he gave us of them made you want to know what was going on..This is a second chance love story where we can get to know the past and present of the couple, something that I really liked is that it is mostly focused on the present and the past serves to get to know them and put us in context, both characters are interesting, no only together but also individually..Silvye is a person who has been through a lot for which she has made the wrong decisions, she is not a perfect protagonist, she makes mistakes and has flaws like everyone else, but she learns from them and it is incredible to read the way she grows and takes charge of her life. life to become the best version of her..On the other hand there is Spencer, he was completely sweet and stubborn when it came to Sylvie, even though she made loving her so hard, he never gave up on her, he was swoon worthy of her.

It was so cool to be inside this world once again!! If you read book one on the series, we all know that Sylvie was kinda the villain in that book, which made me hesitant to read her story. But im glad i gave it a chance to see her redeem her actions. Tbh I pitied her and what she has been thru. She was abused by her own mother and neglected by her family. For that, she was toxic to everyone who was kind to her, which is understandable.Im glad she found Spencer Donato who has always been there for her. The thing is that for years she used him and never took him serious. As the story starts, they reconnect again and they get to have a second chance.Tbh im quite picky when it comes to romance, so this time I didn’t connect with these two as I wanted to. Yes, they deserved to be together, but their romance was quite bland. No emotions at all, which made me just like them, not love them as the previous couples.Just so yk, the story fully evolves about Sylvie and her relationship with her mother, more than the romance itself. The story behind it, is quite original, i just didn’t like the conclusion, it was too rushed.Honestly, I think Monica has better stories worth the read. It was cute, but not perfection to my taste.
