This device was easy to set up, but would only print properly from one computer. The second computer would print only "chinese text" and emptied the entire drawer of paper ,for 15 pages of requested printing.I do not recommend this product.

The replacement switch works without errors, however 7 of the 8 (2*4) USB cables do not work with the switch. My cables work. I am only switching the keyboard which allows me to remove two keyboards from my desk. The extra area is great. The switch's indicators are impossible to see, so I stuck a small clear hemispheric foot over each indicator to bend the indicator's light. The following is my review of the first switch I received, Amazon replaced the first switch in 3 days and the seller was very responsive. The acceptance testing of each switch took about two hours. Acceptance testing is not extra work. It saves time and stress. I am very happy with the result.I have 7 Pi machines 4@4b and 3@3b running the latest update for the PiOS (Debian Bullseye). The switch doesn't work with any of them. The boot process always generates "cannot enable, maybe the cable is bad". It does work with Windows 10 Pro with the same cables. Direct connection with any of the Pi machines which recognize the USB peripheral with "SZH usb keyboard" and a device id of "c0f4 04c0". I have been debugging computer hardware since 1960. This is highly irritating because physically the switch is perfect for my environment.

I have a non-Bluetooth all-in-one Canon PIXMA printer that I refuse to upgrade to something that will last a year before needing to be replaced or require a subscription to use. This splitter is a godsend for these older printers. Just a push of a button allows you to print from one of two connected computers. I only wish it didn't have so many bright colors throwing subtlety out the window.

I’ve been using the Belkin 4 port USB switch along with a USB hub for over a decade to switch my keyboard and mouse between different computers. The one button switch was problematic, but there were never any alternatives. This switch is what I’ve been looking for! Each computer has its own button so there’s no fumbling around. It works quickly and I have yet to have a problem with it. Perfect!
