Don’t get me wrong, I love OXO products but they are SO expensive! The Vakuen products are about half the cost and they work perfectly especially with this cute little vacuum machine to remove the air and keep the ingredients airtight! I also like that the tops are flat so the containers are stackable! The vacuum machine works just fine and charges quickly and then holds the charge for a fairly long time. I recommend Vakuen products, and, no, I was not asked for nor paid for this review!

I think I have had this for about a month and so far I'm liking it. I use it at least a couple times daily and it is quick and easy to use. I do wish it would give you some sort of progress indicator though. It's quick and easy to put on the charger and on the bins and seems to provide a pretty good vacuum.

I have a couple of other handheld food vacuums, but I really like this one for several reasons. First, the high quality is immediately recognizable when you open the box. Second, this one shuts off automatically when whatever you are sealing reaches the appropriate vacuum level. Third, it will shut off to protect itself if you use it too many times in a row and don’t give it enough rest. I made a little hose adapter from foodsaver hose parts (available separately here on Amazon), so that I can use it for other food containers, jars, bags, etc. I included some pictures so you can see how the adapter works. The green and black part is included in the foodsaver hose kit.Also, one of the reviews said that it pulls the valve up on the Vakuen container and releases the seal. All you have to do to prevent this is wait about 15 seconds after it shuts off, and the residual pressure around the seal dissipates, releasing the pump. Works great. I am very pleased that I was able to easily make the hose adapter so I can use it for everything!

This Vakuen sealer is very quick and seals the container in seconds. Lasts a long time between charges.

I've been using this 2 years. It started about a month ago, vacuum sounded weird. It sounded like it's running out of battery even though it was fully charged. It was still working so I didn't bother. And just today it stopped not responding. I have tried putting it with different charger cord to see if the USB cable was not working. But it has failed. If I have used not properly, it would be fine to purchase a new one. But I have a designated charging place and never dropped the charger or the vacuum. Now I can't vacuum on all my containers.

The media could not be loaded. Such a great experince with this brand. Rasberries are usually fast to rot but I kept them in these containers and they stayed in fantastic conditions for a very long time! This exceeded my level of expectations and were so easy to use. Definitely recommanded.

The Vakuen vacuum sealer works great at keeping food products fresh and my wife loves it!It is rather pricey, but, if it endures the test of time, well worth the price.
