Q: No mention of weight of canvas in "Brown" apron description. Is it 16-oz like the "Black" version?

Not sure. I am careful to not overload it with tools. (Woodworker) It’s certainly heavy duty. I like mine but there are times where I opt out for a nail apron

Q: I am 6'3 with a 52" waist and was wondering how this would fit on someone my size ? Tight or loose ? Long or short ?

at 5'5" and 125 lbs- I can't answer with great confidence. I can wrap the belt around my waist twice. I had to hem the bottom because it was too long and needed it to be higher than my knees. And I was absolutely willing to do that with a smile on my face because this apron is the best for my gardening needs. Nothing flimsy about it. Its heavy duty material and easy to adjust for me. The pockets are deep and I love the zippered pocket for my phone- can't fall out when I am bending way over. This was a problem with other aprons I tried. This is a great quality well designed product in my opinion.

Q: Does the mfr specify, essentially, that one size fits all (s-xxxl)?

All the straps are adjustable. I am a xxxl and have plenty of room

Q: Will this material repel hair if working in a barbershop ?

I don't think this apron would be suited for a barbershop setting. I have long hair and as you probably know hair falls out, I have found a few of my own on it, but the reason I don't think it would work is it is stiff. I would think you would prefer something more flexible, more like denim. It also retains dirt like crazy. I wear mine in my woodworking shop and dust and debris sticks to it like glue. For me, that adds good looks to it. Guess I'm a bit strange. Hope this helped.
