Works well

Bought this charger for travel convenience of having one cord and block. However, it works like every other “combo”—what is combined is a watered down version of the original, stand-alone products. The watch charger magnet is seriously weak. You have to move the charger very delicately. This is a problem if you any need to grab your phone while charging, the watch quickly falls off the other prong of the charger cord. Also, sometimes the phone charger does not initiate charge if it was previously charging the watch by itself. This requires you to unplug the block and plug it back in. It also takes all night to charge a watch. Even with the lightning connection, the watch charger is incapable of topping off your watch battery in a few minutes. It is by far less powerful than the non-lightning charger that Apple makes. If it were $5 more, I would be sending it back. It’s cheap enough to use with these issues. If I left it at a hotel room, a part of me would feel liberated.

This charging cord has saved me many times!!! I am always losing my Apple Watch charger cause I put it in my purse in case I need it at work or at a friends then I forget where I last had it. This way I have both chargers in one. I can charge my phone and watch at the same time. It also charges super fast given it’s 2 on 1 I thought it might take longer but it doesn’t. This will come in handy when I go to Mexico to because it’s compact and I only need one charging cord instead of 2.

I started wearing my Apple watch again and I travel for work. I need to simplicity everything related to travel and this one cord solution for both my phone and watch is fantastic. I do wish it had a standard USB end instead of the micro but one outlet and the long cord make this perfect sense to reach my nightstand. I haven’t had any issues and I’m very pleased with the time it takes to charge.

So the phone charging works standard and the cord was convenient, but unless you are willing to charge your watch overnight it is slower than any other charger I have ever used. It works and ill keep it, but it will be a last option for watch charging. Meaning I'll be traveling with another charger anyway, with this being an emergency only option. Took 5.4hrs to charge from 50% to 98% on the new ultra Apple Watch.
