American Queen (New Camelot Book 1)

I don’t know what to think. I’ve put this off for so long and I’m not sure why but I’m so glad I’ve read it!Greer loves two men and they love her but they also love each other and making it work isn’t going to be easy considering they are the president and the Vice President of the United States.This book is predominantly about the smut and my god is it good. Jesus H. The tension and the lust, it’s some of my favourite I’ve ever read.I’m struggling with the plot. Like there was one but there wasn’t? Nothing really happens outside of the threesomes relationship but also it didn’t need anything more. The emotions this book pulled out of me… I felt so much for Embry my heart broke. I usually like my books with a lot of plot and a side of spice and this was definitely spice with a sprinkle of plot but I didn’t care at all. I loved it!The characters are so well written as is the whole book. I didn’t realise this was three books but I’m so glad it is. Can’t wait to start the next one as this ends on a cliffhanger. I’m hoping as we go on there’s a storyline they can all fight together.💜🖤💜🖤

Quarter Miles is the third book in @devneyperry’s Runaway series and follows the story of Katherine and Cash. So far in the series we’ve met Londyn and Gemma as they both left their lives behind in Boston in pursuit of returning a beloved Cadillac to a beloved friend. Gemma stopped at the Greer ranch where she met up with Katherine again.Now we pick up with Katherine as she starts the next leg of the road trip to pass the Cadillac over to Aria. A road trip she was hoping to complete alone giving herself a much needed break from the ranch and her seemingly clueless of her feelings friend, Cash. Cash has other plans though.This series is so great with the thread of the road trip running through the story tying them all together. Like Londyn and Gemma’s story, Katherine’s upbringing is harrowing and she doesn’t share it willingly. You understand why when she does eventually open up to Cash.The writing flows well throughout the dual narrative and I am now a firm fan of Devney’s books in a way that makes me want to read her full back list!The next book in the series follows Aria’s story in the penultimate leg of the road trip.

Be warned, the steam factor in this one is OFF THE CHART!! 🔥I kept hearing about this one in a Facebook group that I am in, so I had to see what all the fuss was about.Greer Galloway is the granddaughter of a previous American Vice President so she knows a thing or two about politics, her grandfather uses this to his benefit as she is small and cute, and is able to flit around the room unnoticed during parties, while simultaneously gaining information about people for him, by listening to their private conversations.....sneaky!Fast forward a few years, Greer is quite an expert in reading peoples faces from the groundwork she has done for her grandfather.At one of these parties she meets a man called Ash, he is handsome and kind to her, considering she is always in the shadow of her gorgeous best friend.Greer and Ash share a kiss, nothing else, just a kiss, she is only 15 after all, she doesn't see him again, until later on.6 years later she is at yet another party, and meets a hot young dude called Embry, now Greer is upset that Ash is also at the party but hasn't either recognised her, or is ignoring her, so what is a girl to do right?Embry deflowers Greer and she realises that she kinda likes him, but Embry is a bit of a playboy douche and that all goes out of the window.......or does it?Did I forget to mention that Ash is now the President of the good ol US of A, and certainly hasn't forgotten about Greer.
