The heatblox are alright as they do the job but they are nothing special. I found that if you split them in half like the company suggests they do not burn as long though if you do not split them they last maybe three times as long but in a 12 pack for over £10 this is an expensive option so you may want to look at local firewood companies who sell individual sacks of proper firewood that last much longer. As a finishing note I am almost certain I will not buy these again.

Great product
Give off loads of heat and burn slowly. great for a chimenera as they do not produce loads of smoke and do not create sparks

Good
I use these in my chimnea and they work well there and burn for a long time. I've even lit on on fire and poured coal on top of it in a regular BBQ to make the coals burn quicker and that worked really well too. They don't take up too much space, but they do shed a bit so if you're storing them inside, be prepared for that. As they are a super easy alternative to getting real logs in, I would definitely recommend them.

Smokey
Given the mixed reviews, I was unsure of the experience I would have with these, but most of the time I am lucky. In this instant, it wasn't to be the case. I experienced the same issue as many others here; the log didn't really ever get going, and just smoked awfully. I ended up putting it out.I know mine was nice and dry too, as they'd been in the shed for over 2 weeks since they were delivered.

No good for firepits
These are not as smoke free as I needed. My understanding from the information provided when I bought them was that they would be ideal in my firepit - low smoke, long burning. They are difficult to get lit, you will need firelighters and kindling and they are not low smoke in my opinion. They also crumble to sawdust with the slightest amount of moisture. Might be good in a woodburner but don't bother for a firepit

Good
Smokeless, burned for a reasonable amount of time. Don't let them get damp as they degrade and then smoke.
