Tried with The LED lights and the bag barely lit up. It was too thick for the light to shine through. At one point we had 6 LED lights and it was still hard to get the glowing effect shown in the pic. Very disappointed.

updated: Dec 2018 - do NOT buy these paper bags if you live in a humid environment. Found out the hard way they do not work well in FL. They absorb moisture in air & sand (rain not needed) and collapse. Will purchase plastic bags to accompany battery operated tea lights for next year.I bought these to accompany battery operated "tea lights". Bags are paper so not as durable as plastic bags. They will deteriorate in rain, but are more traditional and IMO prettier than plastic.

Kind of flimsy, but if you’re careful with them they won’t tip when you take them out of the box. It’s beautiful with a candle or two inside. I used flameless battery operated candles inside and lined the walk way with these fire our outdoor wedding. It looked magical.

I liked the bags. They show up well at night when using LEDs to light them up. The only thing I didn't like was that the moisture in the air was absorbed by the bags and they ended up wilting. Everything else is good.

Bags are white. They appeared to be amber colored in the picture. Still pretty but not the amber glow I hoped for

Very thin paper, we used sand on the beach to weigh them down and paper just folded over couldn't really see the hearts they were distorted

This is my second year of buying these bags to make luminaries for Christmas Eve. They are very dependable. With the dollar tree candles I put in them they last till the next day around noon. The only problem which is not of their making is a strong wind which can blow them out

I bought these bags to use outdoors as luminarias during Christmas. They were poor quality, the paper was thin as tissue, and they were a huge disappointment. These bags collapsed after 3 days. When I tried to dispose of them, the bottoms fell out leaving tea lights and sand all over our walk way. I bought these same bags in 2017 and had no problems. Seems the manufacturer cut corners and used inferior materials this year. Buyer beware!
