(i also bought Laser 0283 from amazon uk - the difference between the 2 items is the laser one is more beefy, and even tough the fork on that one isn't wide enough either, there was lots of material left after some grinding). The material is fairly soft - the wedge shape may be caught in protruding elements (mazda has steel bushing for the lower ball joint shafts, hence need to use this rather than a different ball joint separator). ALWAYS use grease on the fork.
