Well built little box perfect for what I needed it for

The box is usable but I had to fix and realign the locking mechanism. Welds are OK but certainly could be better similar to welds when I was learning how to weld aluminum. It will work for the purpose that I bought it for.

I was mounting this on its side to my trailer frame. If done, when opening the door it only opens half way, as the dampener stops it from going further. I had hoped for close to a 90 degree radius opening so it would appear level with the ground when open. Also, the latch catch on the lid was not set and tightened, and had grease all over it, and now everything. Finally, there was a small set screw rolling around in the bottom. It appears it’s for the alternate mechanism/lock stop so I reinserted it, but does not seem to have a purpose in this application. Returning and not sure what to do as I only had 9” and this was .5 over, but could not find anything else 9” wide (if I turned it). Overall this was a nice looking light weight inexpensive item.
