The Strong Feet and Ankles Workout (15 Minutes): Grab a sturdy chair, a towel and slip off your shoes to work on strengthening and stretching the often overlooked muscles in your feet and ankles. The Strong Knees and Hips Routine (15 Minutes): Help keep your knees and hips pain free by strengthening and stretching key lower body muscles with this routine. Total Run Time: Approx. 115 Minutes Review: A great low impact workout. Great for those of us with joint issues who want to get fitter. - Okay, so i got this DVD along with 2 others from a different presentor (Gina Boyer)? After going through this DVD first 2 sessions i much prefer Jessicas DVD. Not only is it low impact, but its fun and i really did enjoy doing the first two sessions (2 miles). I have a few joint issues so wanted a low impact but still high energy workout. You dont need any equipment, but you do need space. I have found that you really need to make sure you have a clear area in front and back of you when you are in front of the TV. Some of the fast pace walks involve a lot of moment so make sure you dont trip over. Along with the main presenter (Jessica) there are 2 others where you can follow more basic session or more complex. There is a timer on the screen and you can choose which session to do aout of the five, they get harder as you go in. The brain workout is very fun and dont forget the cooldown. Will probably get another one of this ladies DVD as she is so personable and very easy to follow the instructions. Anyone with joint issues will find this DVD great to work with, do a few times a week and in no time you may get to the end of the 5 miles. Each Session last around 10 minutes (i think) the timer comes up when you get to around 7 minutes left. Well worth it.. Review: Excellent Additional to the Jessica Smith DVD WALK ON Family ! - Jessica has created another GREAT walking workoutDVD. Its for all of us out there who don't want to do insanity, but choose to honour our bodies and enjoy our workouts. She has totally converted me to this way of thinking. Jessica is joined once again by her Mom Debbie (low impact) and friend Beth (high impact), which gives you the option to build up if you're a beginner or get a good sweat on if you're advanced. There is a 5 minute warm up followed by five walks that are each roughly a mile: Brain Booster Walk (15 minutes): I LOVED this one as it made your brain work along with your body. The walking itself was basic but the moves were unique/varied. Belly, Buns & Thighs Walk (15 minutes): Just as it's described! Mini squats, torso twisting moves and side steps that target those areas. If you've done her other walks of this nature you know what you're getting into. Power Posture Walk (15 Minutes): This was great. Jessica focuses on your upper back and shoulder muscles that help with your posture. Turbo Charged Walk (13 Minutes): This is a little like her low impact HIIT workouts which I love ! It's fast paced and I did it using the low impact version but it includes squat jumps, skiers, jogging, etc. There is a lot packed into these 13 minutes! However her mum always provide a low impact option. SO no panic ! Boogie Down Walk (15 Minutes): This was my probably my least favorite of the walks. I loved the dance party walk on her 15 minute fat blasts disc and this didn't come close as far as the fun factor goes. I'd do this one just to get my steps in but will pop in the dance walk when I'm looking for a good time. But still a good basic easy 1 mile to do. There are TWO bonus sections "Strong Feet and Ankles" (15 minutes) or "Strong Knees and Hips" (15 minutes) Both of which I am pleased with as I have had surgery on my hip a couple of years ago and love the stretching and mobility side, which is exactly what my physio recommends. Overall I love JESSICA anyway, this is a great additional to her family of DVD's. GREAT JOB JESSICA!. Great workout!
I was very sceptical about this DVD but I was pleasantly surprised. I am recovering from a knee injury so wanted something low impact. Mile 3 and 4 are energetic and it is not boring! Great fun and the miles fly by. It works out how many steps you've done approximately and converts them to miles. It's an interesting concept!

Great video to believe you can start & feel good about exercise!!
Great DVD... In my early 60’s..not very fit and find gyms boring.. This is fun & motivating. Easy to follow & offers options to increase your workout. Thank-you Jessica Smith for making this fitness video and not making me feel like a failure!! So often I give up because I think I’m so unfit I’m not worth it. You’ve given me something to build on!!

Brilliant work out
I love all Jessica Smith dvd's but this is brilliant, a more up to date version than my other dvd's and I think she's upped her game. As usual she has 2 other people in the background doing the workout, her mum Debbie, doing the "gentler" version of the exercises and her friend who peps it up with a bit more energy. Jessica is so likeable and explains the workouts thoroughly so that she doesnt leave you behind when you switch to a new routine, she prepares you so that you can effortlessly switch to a new movement without being confused. I'm nearly 70 and recovering from a foot operation, and am usually fit, so wanted to ease in gently to my new dvd's but don't think they're just for "oldies" !! they're challenging for all ages without being too energetic if you want to go at a slower pace. The beauty of the dvd also is that its broken down into 5 different 15 mins exercises, all different and varying in energy so, I've tried to think if I've got favourites but the truth is I love doing them all. Sometimes I do one or two, depending on what time I've got and sometimes I manage them all ! You feel fantastic afterwards and you don't feel as though you've been pushed into doing stuff you don't enjoy. I bought the Walk On 15 minute Fast Fat Blasts dvd at the same ime and alternate the two for variety. Cost £20 for the 2 and much cheaper than paying out for a gym and then not getting your monies worth. Another bonus is that my living room is very small but you can do these exercises in about a 4 foot by 4 foot area, you're not travelling all over the place and you feel so energised afterwwards! Definitely worth giving them a go

Great exercise with no jumping around
This was bought for my wife who wanted to stay fit after BC surgery and recovery. She loves it. There’s no jumping around all exercise steps are based on walking. We have a small living room so you don’t need a lot of room to be able to do it. The girl on the dvd is enthusiastic and encouraging. There are several segments you can do as many as you like as well as a warm up and cool down.

This Walk On set of five 1-mile routines seems to be an early video in the series. The quality of the routine is excellent as in later DVDs but there are slight differences in how it's produced. To begin with, the music reminds me of aerobics classes from the 90s, a little disco flare to it. Jessica gives less information about the benefits of each move but they seem to be the foundation for moves in other DVDs. This 5 Fat Burning Miles selection would be good to start with if you are new to Walk On. The workouts feature Jessica, her mom Debbie and their friend Beth demonstrating different levels along with modifications. The studio was a little blah but I enjoyed the music and the routines didn't strain my knees or quads too much. The slightly shorter routines worked well for me since I'm building up my endurance after an illness. I'm closer to Debbie in age, mostly get regular exercise including yoga and have muscles that are temporarily weaker than what would be normal for me. I only do two miles at a time currently though the flexible format makes it easy to do as many as you want in whichever order. The individual miles start with a warm-up and are: 1) Brain Booster - some unusual coordination challenges 2) Belly, Buns & Thighs - emphasis on lower body 3) Power Posture - works areas like upper back that help with posture 4) Turbo Charged - somewhat similar to interval training 5) Boogie Down - more dance-like All run a little less than 15 minutes. A countdown timer appears in the lower right hand of the screen towards the end of each walk. The series can be followed in sequence or can be customized. There is no floor work in the main routines nor a need for any equipment. Two additional stretching and strengthening routines are included: The Strong Feet & Ankles Workout and The Strong Knees & Hips Routine. At least one requires a chair. I haven't done either yet because I mainly use this series for cardio. I don't know whether it's just because it's my newest Walk On DVD or because the routines seem to flow more smoothly but I really enjoyed the 5 Fat Burning Miles. I have at least four Jessica Smith workout DVDs and, of the three that are Walk On miles, this one is the easiest for me because there is much less dipping down into squats. I still had enough of a workout to get sweaty by the end without feeling any knee strain. Of course, I substitute with the easier version of jumping jacks which was about the only alteration I found necessary on any of these five routines. It's upbeat without going at too fast a pace and presents the foundations of exercises that reappear in altered versions on other videos. I recommend 5 Fat Burning Miles for anyone new to this workout series or anyone who needs a gentle on the joints yet good cardio workout.

I love Jessica Smith's workouts, and this DVD is my favourite so far! 4 different short workouts that you can mix and match for tons of variety in your workout. I have a bad knee so I can't do high impact anymore, but I still need a high intensity workout and Jessica always fits that bill. With 3 intensity levels for every move - and that the camera actually shows you consistently - you can easily mix and match intensity throughout the workout. I also love that Jessica comes up with new and different moves and combinations in each new video. When you work out exclusively with DVDs at home variety is key to sticking with it. Jessica's videos are terrific - buy one (or more) you won't be disappointed!

A fantastic workout DVD. Love Jessica's workouts! I have five of Jessica's workouts now, and mix and match monthly to get the best possible workout. No matter your size, weight or age, you should keep yourself fit and lose weight at the same time, although watch your diet!
