Surpassed my expectations
Wow! I had been looking at doorbell cameras for awhile and decided on Reolink after reading reviews. Great price and great quality. Installation was fast and easy, I was able to use the existing doorbell wiring and DC power in my older home and things set up in a little over 1 hour. The documentation was excellent and their on-line support pages are great. There are several ways to access the camera, Reolink app for PC/Mac (sorry, no Linux yet) and phone apps for Android and iPhone. Direct web browser access works also. There are several differences between the apps depending on which you are using, but overall very easy and intuitive.Setting up the camera and recording is straightforward but you may need to spend a little time tweaking it for your preferences, there are plenty of options without being too overwhelming.Picture quality is adjustable and pretty good overall.Pros:Great documentation and on-line resourcesEasy installationNo batteries or rechargingMultiple easy to use apps to view the cameraOptional (128G recommended) Micro SD card for video storageNO CLOUD!Email alertsCons:*No Linux support (you can view through a web browser)*Remote viewing (away from your home network) requires setting up your router network for 'public' access so you need to be familiar with your router setup and overall internet security, however this is to be expected as it is not a cloud-based system.Notes: Not pro or con, there is a good mix of features for the price so I feel this is a great value. If you are fairly tech savvy this camera is definitely for you. The documentation is excellent so answers to questions and problems are easily available.

Pretty good and easy install using existing wiring and wifi
Pretty good doorbell camera and the install is pretty easy as you can re-use existing doorbell transformer and wiring to power unit. No need to run Ethernet if you have the wifi version. Note that the Wifi version has a RJ45 Ethernet port for communication only, not for POE power. If you use wired RJ45, you still need to power it either using existing doorbell power or use the power adapter. There are a few things that I would like to mention:- The field of view could be better. They advertise as 180 view angle but that's misleading as it's only diagonally view angle. The black version has a 135 deg horizontal view of view and 100 deg vertical field of version. 100 deg is not wide enough to see someone from head to toe. The White version is a portrait 3:4 aspect ratio with 100 deg horizontal view and 135 deg vertical view. 135 deg is better but it's still not wide enough. I have both versions and prefer the Black version's landscape aspect ratio better.- It comes with a wedge that provides 15 deg horizontal tilt but you may want more tilt. I created a 3d print shim to add 5 deg more to the horizontal and 5 deg down. You should be able find the STL file on thing i verse.- You may want to adjust the brightness and shadow so you can see a person's face better in a back light situation. The trick is that you can only adjust the brightness and shadow using the phone app. The Windows PC version of their app doesn't have that feature.- The visitor notification works very well.- The white version has Package notification but the black version doesn't. The black version doesn't have enough vertical view angle to see packages in front of your door anyway. So it probably doesn't matter. Even with the white version with an additional 15 deg down tilt, it still has some blind spot where it can't see packages that are placed closer to the door.

Great value, it wish it had HomeKit support.
Best value smart doorbell I found so far.The chime works well and responds quickly.Love that motion detection is done locally on the device and not in the cloud. So it works without internet and I get the notification much faster compared to the Ring and Nest doorbells I tried.I love that the video stream is open through RTSP and RTMP.A few issues though. Reolink can’t ring the physical chime in the house, and you have to use the included chime.I had multiple issues during installation and still have a loose unit after multiple tries. The biggest issue is it does not support HomeKit and HomeKit secure video.I tried using Scrypted and HomeAssistant to solve that problem but they are not as stable as cameras that natively support HomeKit.

Awesome Doorbell Camera
I tried Blink for a while & was pretty good but if the batteries die no more ding doing! That was stupid. I saw the Eufy that has 2 cameras & keeps the rechargeable battery topped off if you use your wires from existing doorbell & has on board storage but the sound was horrible & live view I could d not hear anything.I decided to look at Reolink & found they have 2 types of door bell cameras one that does a vertical view for like a hallway or portrait and another that does like a landscape view. I got the white one for the portrait or hallway view & can see about all of the front porch in the lower right corner you can see the threshold of the door. The sound is awesome, video and the whole interface is awesome! You can add an SD card for local storage or like others as well you can add a home base for storage & viewing. This comes with lots of extras you may not need so they should d have a few different packages for you needs to lower price but they may think one package one price and it is not that expensive under 100 you get a power supply if you do not existing wires & an ethernet cable that is like 3' so do not know where go with that, but. You can do poe or use existing wires to power it & connect Wi-Fi. You get a sturdy metal bracket not plastic like others. You get the 15 degree mount to angle towards your door if you want which I did then gives more room for wires. Others were cramped in this area. It snaps on & off easily.
