Beautiful pain in the butt!
"The desk came in two separate boxes and all parts and tools were included and clearly labeled. The small screwdriver although not pleasant to grip, fit all the fasteners and was compact for the hard to reach places. I found most of the holes were slightly too small for the fasteners. A quick few taps with a hammer will make it easier. If not you run the risk of quickly stripping the fastener heads. The instructions were clear and thorough, read each step completely before attempting. It can be a challenging assembly but the end result is well worth it. The completed desk is sturdy and absolutely stunning!"

Good enough
I had to put this together with a power drill because the hand screw was taking hours and I ended up with blisters on my hands and a lot of screws that wouldn't go into place. The desk is extremely difficult to put together alone since a lot of pieces are heavy and need to be held in place while a second person screws. Also, my drawers' locking mechanism did not work and thus I had to use gorilla glue to keep them shut. All in all, a good desk, beautiful, and meets my needs.

Nice looking desk, very frustrating assembly.
First of all, I want to say that this is a very nice desk when it's assembled. It also feels pretty sturdy and durable. The wood is of average quality, and considering the price of the desk, it's a pretty good deal. The assembly of the desk is where the two stars come from. I work in construction/home repair, so putting things like this together is a pretty simple task. I always use my own tools, but try and use the hardware that comes with the product as often as I can. For this product, I had to use about 90% of my own hardware. The screws did not match the holes that were pre-drilled into the wooden pieces. I may be an isolated incident, (judging off of the other reviews I'm not) but if I were to force some of the screws into the allocated holes, I would have damaged the exterior of the wood by peeling away some of the charcoal colored film on the surface of the wood. I had to use a power drill because the little screwdriver that came with the desk was made out of a poor grade metal, that felt as soft as lead. I got the desk completely assembled in just over 1 1/2 hours, which I can't imagine how long it would take to use the tools and hardware that came with the desk.If you own a power drill and have your own hardware, I highly recommend this product for it is actually a nice desk that looks really good when assembled. If you don't own a power drill, then I hope you have a ton of patience and time, because you will probably need it.

Good if you don't mind a lenghty assembly, and inexpensive materials
First off I rated this review based on what I wanted to get out of it, so it might not be for you. I got a desk that looks good after assembly, is long but lacks depth, only assembling once, and is inexpensive. The materials for the desk are probably made from zinc or a cheap version of stainless steel which means they strip if your not careful. I used power tools to assemble and did a fairly decent job of not doing this. The extra parts included in the order helped with a few screw ups. Don't expect to be successful with taking it apart and putting it back together. Most of the parts seem like they would not handle another assembly. The pilot holes made by the company crack a little when putting screws in, but it doesn't really show. It is definitely a lot smaller then what I was expecting. It lacks depth and height a bit, but the length is decent. When I was assembling one of the sliders was mislabeled. I had to disassemble a few things to get it fixed out. Overall it took a few hours to put everything together, and I'm pretty coherent when it comes to things like this. The good things are that everything comes labeled in the boxes. EVERYTHING. Which means its easy to follow the directions. They even have some videos online for the first few steps. It's pretty stable after assembly. Not completely but good enough to try and put a pole on top and call some girls over. It really does look good completely put together. All the storage spots are large enough to hide a few things away. It can't be that bad if I like looking at it! Hope this helps.

Compact, Functional, Stylish
Really like this desk. It has a modern look and worked well with our contemporary living room funishings. I use the 'tower' space for binders and files since I use a laptop. The laptop sits under the main desktop in the back and I connect it to a full sized monitor, keyboard and mouse. This desk really works well for that type of set up leaving the entire table top for whatever junk you want to put on top. We just moved across the country and it was no problem to disassemble for the move. Overall, a good purchase for the price.

The box wasn't even in bad condition. This was the only broken piece and ...
i got the package half expecting at least one piece to be broken or cracked, and I didn't have to wait long to find a broken piece. The box wasn't even in bad condition. This was the only broken piece and decided to just continue to assemble rather than have to send the whole box back. And then I got halfway through building the dest when I found the one piece was missing 2 of the 4 "nuts" that hold one of the screws in place. At this point I can't even finish or else this desk will lack any stability. These seem like minor details, and I don't expect perfect every time but I just wanted to be able to put this desk together and move on with my life as I've had plenty of issues with other companies while trying to get a desk. This desk is honesty not a bad piece of furniture but the missing pieces was what drove me to give this a 1 star.If the company has any good customer service and they can help me quickly it's likely I'll change my review. Until then 1 star..
