So far so good. I bought this tea maker to replace an old Mr. Coffee. I have attached a video, but in case it doesn't load here are a few points from my experience. 1) It is a plastic pitcher/jug and is not super thick. Not an issue for me at this point in time. Plastic technology changes and just because this is lighter than my Mr. Coffee pitcher that cracked and broke even though it was much thicker, it doesn't mean that this pitcher will not have decent longevity. Only time will tell. 2) As stated there is no OFF button, just turn on, it brews and it shuts off. If for some reason a person wants to stop brewing mid-cycle, just unplug the power cord. 3) Lid will not stay on while pouring. Not an issue for me as I place a finger over the lid while pouring and there are zero issues. 4) Cleanup is as simple as rinsing the wire mesh basket and dumping the minimal amount of water left in the reservoir. I leave the lid to the ice tea maker body standing up/open, and the pitcher upside down on a dish drainer along with the mesh basket. After an hour or so everything is dry and I reassemble. 5) I have not used the control knob for strength of brew. I just leave on the highest setting, we use around 4-5 bags of tea and the tea is good for us. The tea has good flavor and is not bitter or super strong. We just drink plain ice tea with no added sugar. 6) Regardless of stated capacity, my ice tea maker with water filled to the line and then added to the reservoir, pitcher then filled with ice cubes to the ice line produces just over 64oz of tea. I make a minimum of one pitcher (64oz) and place in one ice tea bottle. I usually make two more batches and fill a one gallon plastic jug. Depending on the household drinking habits, that will last us 4-7 days. Your mileage will vary. In conclusion, I took the time to write this review as I spent way too much time reading other reviews and bouncing back and forth trying to decide between a $300 ice maker or this one. I don't mind spending money on kitchen appliances so price was not a deciding factor for me. I liked the looks of this ice tea maker and figured I would give it a try. I will update this review should there be any issues. I have not been paid for this review nor did I receive any items, etc.

I like the retro design of this tea maker. I've had three B&D tea machines prior but really wanted this one due to the design. My B&D pitchers always ended up cracking over time and without the pitcher, you can't really use the machine because it has to seat the filter/tea. With this one, you put the tea in the actually machine, not on top of the pitcher, which is a bonus; I think you'd be able to use a different pitcher if this one ever cracked. The product itself does seem a little bit flimsy or not as sturdy as the B&D one, but it does the job all the same. There is a removable basket on top where I put two tea bags for my iced tea. It's very easy to clean the basket too. If you're looking for a cool retro-looking tea machine, I would recommend this one. I've been using it for a couple of months now and it's still going really well!

Decent tea maker, it does the job!

Started when first plugged in without even touching the start button. That means that after a power failure, when power comes back on, this tea maker might turn on even if there is no water and that could be dangerous. My worry would be whether this unit would melt or even catch fire. Only option is to leave it unplugged except when using it. Another serious problem is that it leaves quite a bit of water in the unit. So if you don't dump the water out by tipping the unit over a sink and using a towel to absorb the remaining, you are going to eventually have some very bad stuff growing in your tea maker. If you use it daily that excess water might not be a problem but if you only use it weekly or even less often, that could be detrimental to your health. I highly recommend making sure there is not water left anywhere inside the unit. Dry up all surfaces.

Its easy to use, easy to clean. Makes the ice tea in about 10 min depending if you want it stronger or not. If you have ever used the Mr. Coffe ice tea maker, its about the same.

I was replacing an old Hamilton Beach ice tea maker that I love and cannot replace. My mom and I both bought this one. We only use them for iced tea. Flavor is great with 3-4 tea bags at level 6 for me. Super easy to operate and clean! I have used it multiple times and love it!

My husband got this for me as a Christmas gift. He knows I love iced tea, and I had been making it in many loose leaf pots. As a result, I was constantly making and remaking new batches. Since I've gotten this, I can make one or two pitchers a week to get my fill. I love using this for the loose leaf tea which I have through subscribe and save on Amazon. I use less than a cup of loose leaf tea, Brew the pot, and then brew a second from the leaves and it lasts me half to 3/4 of a week. The carafe is perfect size for the refrigerator, And very easy to clean. There are directions/ instructions that come with the product, but I do think that some experimentation with how much tea or coffee has to occur to get that perfect balance in personal flavor. I likely won't use this for coffee, because I really only like hot coffee. That said, the water does Brew hot and you have to let it cool down if you want Iced tea or iced coffee. This brewer is a definite win and has a permanent place on my counter.

Was happy with this tea maker UNTIL the start button suddenly stopped working….after only 4 months. Very disappointing. Will be ordering another bran.

The iced tea maker worked great but was looking forward to a glass picture. Despite the description saying it comes with a glass picture, IT DOES NOT.
