Very well built stows away well. You may want to remove some needles if using it on a smaller basket like on a flair pro. Comes with spare needles which is nice.

Not essential but at the price of around £12 at the time of purchase, it’s worth the try as it’s is super helpful! This WDT tool has been a valuable addition to my espresso preparation routine. The build quality is excellent, and the prongs feel sturdy and well made. It distributes ground coffee evenly across the basket, which helps reduce channeling and leads to a more consistent extraction. The tool comes with spare prongs, which is very practical and reassuring for long-term use. After making two coffees a day for over a month, the original prongs have not needed replacing and show no sign of wear, which speaks to their durability. The only small challenge I have experienced is returning the tool to its holder. The prongs can be hard to see against the silver base, and if they are not aligned properly when inserting, they can catch on the outside and bend slightly. This is something to be mindful of, but with a bit of care, it is easily avoided. Overall, this is a well-designed and reliable WDT tool that improves consistency in espresso preparation and feels robust enough to last. I would happily recommend it to anyone who wants to refine their coffee-making process.

Excellent quality, works very well and at a very good price.

Does the job, just about. The pins move and need constant adjustments / tightening. When the pins are loose and have moved it doesn’t evenly distribute. Would not recommend at the price. I have ordered a different branded one after almost half a year of use.

My sons laugh at my coffee nerdiness. Maybe there are things that don't have to be as complicated as a coffee lover preparing a puck for extraction. There again, the ritual and care taken assures consistency and repeatability. This WDT tool comes unassembled and you take the needles from a provided tube, placing them inside the tool and then screwing the top on. Easy to do. Took about 1 minute. I am not very careful about placing it back in its metal case after use, laying on top of my machine instead (a gasp of horror from other even more serious coffee lovers!). I don't know how delicate this device is, but I haven't broken a needle yet. It has been superbly useful and reassuring in use, getting rid of any clumps and air gaps before tamping. I am getting ready to purchase my first bottomless portafilter, and am hoping that this cost effective WDT tool will help me be not one of those that spurts coffee everywhere except in the cup.

Bought two of these one for my husband and one for my Son and they both love it, its a bit fiddly putting in the pins and hubby said to leave the middle one out and it works perfectly

This wtd tool is made of thick aluminum and has an attractive matte black finish, with a nice stand. The wires are placed in the perfect configuration for removing clumps and air from your portafilter, it also comes with extra wires. My only complaint is that no instructions are included and assembly is required, it was simple to figure out but instructions would still be nice.

Klasse verarbeitetes Tool. Liegt gut in der Hand, tut was es soll und ist nicht zu groß. Lässt sich einfach zusammenbauen. Steht stabil auf dem Tisch und kommt mit Ersatznadeln falls doch mal eine kaputt geht. Alles in Allem ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
