Hitachi DB10DL Compact Drill Driver 10.8 Volt 1.5 Ah Li-Ion

This is a cracking bit of equipment, which will make tasks easier and quicker to complete. Two batteries are pretty much an essential for all cordless drivers but these batteries take longer to run down, and are quicker to charge; and the driver is very powerful and therefore quicker to get jobs done with. The LED light is very handy, and the keyless chuck is very good - no pesky hand-wrenching tightening required. The size of the driver is the biggest plus of all - I have recurrent tendonitis which makes manual screwdriving very difficult and managing large cordless drivers awkward and this model ticks all the boxes, however I choose to look at it. Great tool and this price is a lot less than most stores, and it`s hard to believe that any of the more expensive Dewalt products are better.

First one arrived in post and out the box would not work.When putting a battery in the charger the LED would flash but that was all.Batteries would not charge no matter how long I left them.Returned item for a replacement, it arrived and hey presto the exact same fault.I have a feeling amazon have just sent the original faulty one back to me!Cant review the item really as I never received one that was working.

I read all the reviews about this driver and thought that is the one for me.I ordered the driver it come the charger light did not work although the charger was getting a little warm it did not charge the battery,i ordered a new one and the same thing happened.I must say i was a little bit miffed after reading the good reviews.

Driver does seem to have plenty of power, although its small, very small, and has a max rpm of 400.

Great for screw driving though you need those special screw-driver bits which lock in place using the "pull,enter, release" method rather than the normal turn and tighten method. Haven't worked out how to use it as a drill so use this in tandem with my Siemens all purpose drill

We use these for our trade on a daily basis, now for over 4 years, it has been in the tool box and used to extreme limits, driving the biggest screws, through 4" timber and using wood bits in confined underfloor cable running and being subject to building site dust and cold temperatures. The original one is still going strong, so thought we would buy another one. It outlasts the other well known makes by twice the battery and performance, plus it is small enough and light enough to fit in the tool belt. Brilliant piece of kit.

Up a ladder on a Monday evening putting up plasterboard, realising that my old Black & Decker is not holding it's charge and is not up to to job. Ordered this Hitachi at about 7.00pm. Arrived at 9.45am next morning. Brilliant. Great bit of kit - and two batteries, so I need never stop! But I've finished my job and no sign of the first charge being used up yet.Very satisfied. Thanks Amazon!

Ordered one of these based on the reviews. First one delivered very quickly. Tried to charge the battery and found the charger would not work. Amazon very quickly provided a replacement but sadly the charger did not work on that one either. I have returned both drills and am now looking for an alternative.
